No I don't think they are safe because I still suffer from the damage it did to my heart
This is probably protected free speech
Re:Is Mozilla trying hard to kill itself? on Wednesday December 17, 2025 @07:31AM (#46301233)
It made me stop using FF on android.
I was looking att filling my EPYC servers empty slots, what I paid $90/stick 2-3 years ago is now $430
Re:We reduced a container image from 800GB to 2GB on Sunday November 02, 2025 @07:32AM (#45789841)
The TLDR: > We tackled critical container image bloat on our Sealos platform, fixing a severe disk space exhaustion issue by shrinking an 800GB, 272-layer image to just 2.05GB.

They say they made a 800GB container image, so your issue is about singular vs plural?

Regardless, I don't really get why anyone would self report like this. Is next article going to be about how they don't encrypt passwords and when they accidentally dropped prod DB they could restore account from logs because it had the passwords in clear text?

I wonder what this will do for enterprise sales posting
Re:The HackberryPi CM5 handheld computer on Thursday September 11, 2025 @02:36AM (#45208530)
When I've used i2s it has required setting spi clocks that made my spi devices not function. While it does have all of these IO buses, using more than one at a time is a bit of tetris. I wouldn't be surprised if there is some hardware constraint making i2s impossible.
Re:Lossless LLM 3x Throughput Increase by LMCache on Saturday June 28, 2025 @01:41PM (#44406604)
This is exactly what llm-d is
Re:LM Studio is now an MCP Host on Thursday June 26, 2025 @02:02AM (#44384589)
MCP Host is terminology from the spec. It's the software that makes llm calls, build prompts, interprets tool call requests and performs them etc.
Re:Resurrecting flip phone typing as a Linux driver on Tuesday June 24, 2025 @01:41AM (#44363134)
A few years ago I started building this. The idea was to send the word and when cycling send the same number of backspaces before the next.

I guess I got busy with other things

Europe 2.0
Re:The AMD Radeon Instinct MI300A's Giant Memory Subsystem on Saturday January 18, 2025 @01:54PM (#42750458)
More like the value of drivers that doesn't require one in-house team per customer to "fix" driver crashes in the customers' particular workloads.
Re:Cognitive load is what matters on Thursday December 26, 2024 @03:42AM (#42513951)
A tale as old as the SPA
Re:Cognitive load is what matters on Wednesday December 25, 2024 @02:41PM (#42510689)
Is this bait?
Re:Bringing K/V context quantisation to Ollama on Thursday December 05, 2024 @03:41AM (#42326214)
This is par for Ollama, look at the log_probs issues/prs and you get an idea of how well Ollama is run.

Ollama is IMO a model downloader for llama.cpp so you can do roleplay with ease.

Re:Large Enough – Mistral AI on Wednesday July 24, 2024 @02:59PM (#41060567)
This is pretty much equivalent to the statement "multicharacter tokens are a dead end for understanding text". Which I agree with.
Re:Tinygrad: Hacked 4090 driver to enable P2P on Friday April 12, 2024 @04:21PM (#40017229)
We are talking about a literal monologue while poking at a driver for a few hours, this wasn't a huge project.
You can probably just burn it and recover the metals from the ashes chemically.
Re:Bookish Diversions: Do Audiobooks Count? on Sunday March 03, 2024 @05:11PM (#39585021)
I've found this to be particularly true with William Gibson, tried to listen to some but a split second lapses in attention forcing me to go back often and I gave up. And just pick up a text.
Re:Ask HN: What have you built with LLMs? on Monday February 05, 2024 @03:36PM (#39266791)
I built a tool to create "average llm" probability of code for checking how aligned code is with what an LLM would output. Working on adding context from a project to check how the style of a section aligns with the style, content and domain of a project.

Idea is to use it to identify code that sticks out, because that usually what's interesting or bad.

Re:Ceph: A Journey to 1 TiB/s on Saturday January 20, 2024 @04:10AM (#39065871)
Did something very similar almost 10 years ago, EBS costs were 10x+ the cost for same perfomance CEPH cluster on the node disks. Eventually we switched to our own racks and cut it almost in ten again. We developed the inhouse expertise for how to do it and we were free.
Re:What Happened to EVs? on Thursday January 04, 2024 @04:28AM (#38864972)
This many trips this long, it's probably not that much cheaper to rent, add in the pain of renting and I would do the same as GP.
Re:German court declares Do Not Track to be legally binding on Tuesday October 31, 2023 @10:13AM (#38085163)
Yes it's sad if DNT becomes useless because you can't access the web with it.
Re:German court declares Do Not Track to be legally binding on Tuesday October 31, 2023 @10:13AM (#38085151)
There are already companies that do not serve EU because of GDPR...
Re:German court declares Do Not Track to be legally binding on Tuesday October 31, 2023 @06:13AM (#38082516)
If this is the direction things are going sadly I think it will be norm to just not serve anything if you have it on.
Re:LocalPilot: Open-source GitHub Copilot on your MacBook on Thursday October 19, 2023 @07:20AM (#37941272)
Seems to be running on llama.cpp, so it's going to be a question of performance. I don't have any M-cpu but on my 13th gen i5 I can run mistral at about 6.5 tokens per second. Which seems comparable to what this is.

What countries in Europe do they even deliver to? I'm in EU, had to buy mine through a friend in Canada and pay double VAT because there is no logistics.

Re:Modos E-Ink Monitor on Tuesday October 03, 2023 @05:54AM (#37749784)
Framework 13 module would be cool
Re:Pixel 8 leak promises 7 years of OS updates on Tuesday September 26, 2023 @02:12PM (#37663492)
That's actually exciting. I'll keep an eye out for that for sure. And I agree I think this is not talked about because we would collectively agree that what we have is shit.
Re:Pixel 8 leak promises 7 years of OS updates on Tuesday September 26, 2023 @06:40AM (#37657295)
If there was a bluetooth profile that was duplex and had acceptable audio playback I would consider paying for a good pair, again. But mSBC, being the best available, is mono only and sounds like a 90s phone call.
