Don’t be the jerk, man
I was just stating that you don’t need automation to deploy spoilers, speedbrakes etc.
I made a browser extension that opens every tab to a proxy with a new ip address. I have a /25 at home that will keep my browsing more or less anonymous these days. I have another 200 ip addresses available through my colo, but a non residential address limits a lot of sites
Nothing prevented the pilots from applying speedbrakes. Nothing prevented the pilots from deploying spoilers. However the pilots were busy doing other things and, this is where your comment comes in, relied on automatic systems which require weight on the wheels
At least with LG you can revoke your consent. I came home to found STT audio recording enabled and I promptly disabled it and lectured the household about privacy.
Re:The Ploopy A+ Trackball Is Here on Sunday August 16, 2026 @01:01AM (#49317055)
My buddy had a Logitech Trackman and absolutely dominated in quake back in the day. So much so that it made me adopt a Trackman in 2001 and I consistently came in top 3 in counterstrike.

I’m sure it’s not the best ergonomic pointing device but I haven’t stopped using it and rock a Logitech ergo trackball these days.

Bluetoothctl in Linux.

Have done exactly this 15 years ago to find my lost phone (:

Also wrote a cheap 30 line shell script to allow playing videos and music to “follow me” from one room to another with well placed raspberry pi’s, 11 years ago

Kind of. You referenced flash memory. However I owned an ibm ps/2 from the 80s which had an MCA memory card which could accept SIMMs and extend system ram. So maybe the previous poster is being pedantic? No need to downvote them

Hey Bryan

A good rule of thumb is to always ask to see the cap table as an early employee. Question them when they don’t. Probably not so much with 0xide at series C, but definitely demand it at preseed and series A.

Hope all is good with you bro

Then the human that is rejected files a lawsuit.

Humans doing human things

I tried applying to Anthropic twice. Rejected. Then I see people with way less skill getting jobs there.

Network with people at the company and third time may be a charm. Maybe.

Re:My Steam Machine Is a 50ft HDMI Cable on Friday June 26, 2026 @06:55AM (#48685106)
Xbox was overpowered at the time

Xbox 360 was rushed with gpu problems

I would say they got it all right with the Xbox one. Then the series came out and is a good example of what valve is doing with the steam machine. AAA Games will be optimized for the steam machine (and consequently for the coming shortage in memory components) with power players in custom rigs getting the full 8k, hdr 4.0, DLSS 6.5 etc

Heh and without api docs, just copy and paste the urls from network traffic and Claude will write a library for you.
Re:I don't think AI will make your processes go faster on Sunday May 17, 2026 @11:23AM (#48169751)
I just vibe coded a socks proxy because existing ones were too thick. And let me tell you, you are absolutely right. Go libraries I’ve never heard of, new implementations that has not been tested.. I think the word for this is YOLO

Tell me more about the tracking code

Side note: My LG Watch Sport smartwatch was able to determine what weight training workout I was performing and somehow figured the weight with astonishing accuracy.

This is KDE activities. Install the latest version then you can setup environments based on your activity. Been a feature since (checks notes) 2008.

For the people who's mail service blocks you and they cannot or will not change their mail provider, what is your solution?

I’m curious where you pull these stats from

Re:LittleSnitch for Linux on Thursday April 09, 2026 @10:42AM (#47704428)
In firefox, goto about:config and search for url.

You're welcome.

You still need the slides to communicate risk, cost, delivery estimates etc. a great way to get your own team and move up in the org
Re:DigitalOcean Seeks $800M in Funding on Monday March 30, 2026 @03:20PM (#47578556)
Used to have a dual atom box in NYC that had over 3000 days of uptime. The hard drive died and they messaged me saying I had the last atom box in their datacenter. They gave me a dual e5 with 64gb ram for the original price of my 2gb atom box. This is how you generate loyalty. I will never leave them.

Adapt or die
Lucky for us it can be overturned, which I highly suspect it will be. Or at least this case will define the loopholes to use
> But this ruling will surely set precedent for other cases where AI is used.

I dont remember which court. But this is typically in that jurisdiction. It can be appealed higher. SCOTUS has not ruled so it’s still up for further argument

Back in my day someone would post a HN article to the internal slack in order to sway conversation in their favor. Glad to see its still happening! :D

This thread made me realize why fail2ban keeps banning me after one failed password entry :lightbulb:
>Windows Updates

If you want to stop windows updates, make your internet connection a metered connection. Updates will only be allowed on-demand.

The more you know!
