After seeing URL string parsing in application code I would have expected to see at least some sort of discussion about third-party web frameworks.
Re:Why I left Mac for Windows: Apple has given up on Tuesday March 07, 2017 @12:22PM (#13812365)
Seriously as I am typing this right now, on Mac OSX, the "kernel_task" is using 50% CPU for no apparent reason and fans have been running for > 20 minutes

Unless this has a decent eGPU instead of 2 year old technology it's still not "pro"
Pixelmator is still trying to catch up to Windows paint.net and is still not even close.

I am a specialist at Android. I have been working independently building Android apps for the past 3 years. I have built apps for startups and established Fortune 500 companies. I have a lot of experience re-creating an existing iOS app in Android while also adapting it to the design and flow that Android users expect and will feel comfortable with. If you have an iOS app and need an Android app, contact me. If you have an existing Android app that needs a UI overhaul to update and modernize, fix performance or stability issues, let me know. If you want to build something new and cool, let's talk.

Except that anyone I ever see using Photoshop uses an external display and keyboard
Re:MacBook Pro on Thursday October 27, 2016 @07:52PM (#12811552)
Not to mention I work a lot of the time with my macbook closed connected to external display. What good is touchbar then? Oh wait, my external display is Thunderbolt display, now a $1k paperweight because I bought into the Apple closed ecosystem.

That is not Bash on Windows, it's a totally different thing.
It seems this article badly needs to be updated in light of Ubuntu on Windows. Here's a link from 2016 instead of 2010. https://insights.ubuntu.com/2016/03/30/ubuntu-on-windows-the...

I agree, this post seemed like an awkward sales pitch to me. Not even a single mention of any possible downsides to this approach. Just unicorns and rainbows.

Also wondering what is wrong pixelmator. My trial ran out before I could decide whether it was really capable enough. It seemed like something wasn't quite right with it though.
