Re:Norway imposes near ban on AI in elementary school on Friday June 19, 2026 @06:39PM (#48604136)

I don't disagree with the article, but I also don't disagree with RTK. The output of these commands is not optimized for agents (or humans) for that matter.
Most of the comments here have never used cursor before and it really shows
Re:Fox to Buy Roku Streaming Service in $22B Deal on Monday June 15, 2026 @05:18PM (#48547144)
so is it gonna be called the foku or foxu?
Re:Gmail thinks I'm stupid, so I left on Tuesday June 02, 2026 @06:02PM (#48376953)
gmail is the best and worst email system on earth

they really don't know how to integrate AI into it at all, and honestly I think a part of that comes down to a little bit of column a and column b. Where column a is that they are constrained by privacy and column b is they are constrained by complete politics driven work cycles that don't allow them to rethink or rework things at all or try things out.

I'm pretty sure to do a single change it requires 50 coordination calls with like 5 different executive levels 8 kpi alignment meetings 6 product managers in varying different rooms 3 different user group studies and finally after all that you might be able to ship something but it's nothing close to what you or the user originally wanted.

such is the way of "startups"

even this is ai output
Pressed 1 for everything, no regrets
Re:Private Equity Bought America's Essential Services on Thursday May 28, 2026 @12:57AM (#48304711)
It's 100% AI generated
Re:Human Bottlenecks on Thursday May 28, 2026 @12:23AM (#48304473)
You also end up finding that it's really tradeoffs all the way down.
Re:Human Bottlenecks on Thursday May 28, 2026 @12:22AM (#48304468)
Hm. Saying "AI cannot solve motivation" or "AI cannot solve judgment" may be too static. AI can change the conditions under which motivation or judgment appear. For many people, this is such the case.
Re:On Labubu and the Hyperreal on Wednesday May 27, 2026 @10:54PM (#48303842)
It's gambling, community, status and fun. Some people find it hard to understand that.

Re:Anthropic acquires Stainless on Monday May 18, 2026 @04:36PM (#48185249)
I've started to really dislike how anthropic is operating, not very human first or friendly

aside from that, this is literally just an openapi to sdk generator, not like openai can't just generate one

Re:The Sigmoids Won't Save You on Friday May 15, 2026 @09:14PM (#48155875)
line can go up, line can go sideways, line can go up sideways, line can go up sideways up, line go where line go
Re:Aperio Lang on Friday May 15, 2026 @02:44PM (#48152281)
This feels a lot like P / Pony / rospy. Not only that the "loci as hypergraph" framing also has a faint Milner's bigraphs feeling.
Re:Aperio Lang on Friday May 15, 2026 @02:41PM (#48152225)
Just look at the PR it literally says claude wrote it

Re:I'm going back to writing code by hand on Monday May 11, 2026 @01:47PM (#48098174)
they are just doing design work now, they could have done design work with go too, without even knowing go

Re:Agents need control flow, not more prompts on Thursday May 07, 2026 @06:55PM (#48056176)
> If you’ve ever resorted to MANDATORY or DO NOT SKIP, you’ve hit the ceiling of prompting.

using this is going to do the opposite of what you want

Re:Appearing productive in the workplace on Thursday May 07, 2026 @06:51PM (#48056135)
not all ideas are amazing and its easy to tell that
Re:Appearing productive in the workplace on Wednesday May 06, 2026 @09:54PM (#48044481)
if they have an idea that will make money or improve something, sure, also hire better and fire faster
Re:Appearing productive in the workplace on Wednesday May 06, 2026 @05:10PM (#48041903)
Instead of helping, the author fought against them, "from day one anyone could tell that the schemas were wrong", yet nobody helped him, and instead went to the vp and complained about them. sad. what a horrible place to work in
yeah im not doing that
>You as the CEO know nothing about how your business works. That's too broad of a statement and quite honestly, in my opinion and experience, wrong. There may be some who this does apply to but the vast majority that I know, it does not, and when you get to companies that are actually doing firings based on this its even less.
This is a really bad take, many on hackernews have a very skewed idea of what a CEO thinks about its employees it seems, or why firings happen in the first place.

Quite honestly the firings that are happening are the ones who are not adopting the technologies, if you're doing this you're quite literally just putting yourself in scope.

Just read coinbase today. They are culling those who are not adopting the future because they get in the way of progress. They don't help, they don't push things forward and they hold back those who do.

Re:Zed is 1.0 on Wednesday April 29, 2026 @03:13PM (#47952980)
I would use zed, but I can't get over tabs for terminals and the file explorer doesn't refresh when new files are added from external sources, outside of that it's pretty good.
