It looks great. Do you plan to support RAW formats ?
Postman is basically unusable in a lot of large companies now as it's often forbidden to save credentials on external cloud.

I think the're called Jesus Christ in Costa Rica.

It's really funny to see them run on water or on land, they almost look like they are on a bicycle.

Balenciaga is owned by another French company
it's not LVMH in this case but Kering (another French luxury giant)
The are building a memorysafe language too : https://awesomekling.github.io/Memory-safety-for-SerenityOS/

and their goal is to use it to incrementally rewrite SerenityOS

In this case maybe they should think about something more sustainable than private cars.

I recommend the lectures of "MIT 6.001 Structure and Interpretation" : https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLE18841CABEA24090

it's not strictly about lisp but it's an eye opener to the power of the language

Re:UK: Excess deaths in 2022 among worst in 50 years on Tuesday January 10, 2023 @08:01AM (#34324171)
there is a health crisis in France too with underfunded and understaffed public hospitals (lots of healthcare workers resigned after covid)
A nice feature would be import and export from/to Curl commands. When collaborating with clients or even colleagues it's easier to send curl commands.

You can visit the place next Saturday or Sunday because it's the European Heritage Days where a lot of public places are open to the public in France : https://journeesdupatrimoine.culture.gouv.fr/en/

maintenance was late because of covid and then they discovered corrosion issues in 6 plants.
Got invited to work directly for my client with a better salary, more vacation and more opportunities in general.
Re:Ask HN: Modern C++ Workflow? on Friday June 03, 2022 @08:41AM (#31607434)
If your project does not rely on on specific C++ libraries, I would recommend going with Rust.

The C++ build systems and package managers are a pain to use compared with cargo.

Also learning Rust is easier than learning C++.

feral cats tend to form colonies but wild cats are solitary, like the european wildcat: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_wildcat

Re:Ask HN: File-based photo management applications? on Tuesday February 01, 2022 @04:42AM (#30160423)
Darktable creates a .xmp file with the metadata next to each photo.

I believe this format is also supported by Lightroom and other tools. I prefer this approach because you can keep your originals untouched.

Fastmail is doing only email and has been doing it for a long time. I simply trust them more to care for their users and for me it is worth the price.
Re:Ask HN: What to do with crypto assets if you feel guilty? on Friday January 07, 2022 @03:24PM (#29844275)
Hold forever or sell when it crashes.
http://uglyships.com/ is one of my faves, unfortunately the recent posts are less spectacular because they already posted the weirder ones.
Re:Crypto: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly on Thursday January 06, 2022 @09:41AM (#29824063)
Cryptocurrencies are used by people living in countries with high inflation (e.g. Venezuela) to protect their savings.

Re:Show HN: Long Range E-Bike on Friday November 12, 2021 @01:29PM (#29202836)
I am surprised velomobiles are never mentioned: they are much faster than traditional bicycles, have some protection from the weather and can be electric assisted too: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Velomobile
Dishonored 2 : first person shooter with unique level design, can be won without killing any enemies.

XCOM2 : turn based combat

Darkest Dungeon : turn based roguelike

It opens VSCode but fails to load the project:

Unable to open 'runningviz': Unable to resolve resource vscode-vfs://github/gquiniou/runningviz.

Very often is not someone's house but a property that has been bought, renovated and furnished specifically to be rented on Airbnb.
I would add Linuxfr.org and specifically the user journals : https://linuxfr.org/journaux : it is the website of the french libre software community.

Lots of interesting content you don't find anywhere else.

Re:Ask HN: Which camera do you own? Do you like it? on Friday January 22, 2021 @07:25AM (#25871073)
I use a Sony Alpha 65 from 2011. I am not upgrading it because I am very happy with my lenses (I tried a lot of lenses and now use only 2 most of the time) and it has a GPS to tag photos which newer version do not have.

I dont understand why high end cameras don't have a GPS when a 100€ smartphone does.

Re:GNU Units on Wednesday January 06, 2021 @09:16AM (#25657907)
Does the GNU projet make its repositories available online ?

I'd like to have a look at the code but all I found is an outdated mirror : https://github.com/ryantenney/gnu-units
