Re:Ask HN: What was your best passive income in 2020?

Just want to add for anyone who comes after reading this, I think these types of recommendations are tied strongly to personality. If you have a similar personality, then take this advice. If you're more risk adverse, more anxious, more prone to depression, then it's possible that this advice is harmful. Obviously poster didn't intend any harm but it's hard to caveat everything with "this may not apply to you." Just be careful - some people have the resources and personality to learn "hands on" and some people would do much better with a lot more intellectual understanding or with a supportive community or with some other available resource. Know yourself.

I'm curious - do you mean you've been playing around with news aggregators for 15 years or something else?
I'm not the OP but there's clearly some pretty widespread dissatisfaction with the current news production and consumption landscape. I think there's a huge appetite for bias identification and noise identification and filtering. Given that the idea of a "fact" is something the two main political parties cannot agree on, it seems that's there a huge opportunity for someone/something to come in and disrupt that.

"Train" doesn't just mean "work out" as the non-professional athlete understands it. For a professional athlete, "training" encompasses reviewing performance recordings, reflecting on prior performance, technique refinement, endurance training and strength training. All of that certainly adds up to more than 30 hours a week. It's their profession, after all.

Don't require WebRTC on the landing page. Apple browsers don't support it but I can't imagine you want to prevent those people from even learning about your product.
