Yes, it happens all the time, but at a low enough rate that for a long time it wasn’t observed

It's not personal and I'm not sure why you would attribute malice

If you keep this up I'm going to have to delete my account

It doesn’t

They spent $20M. They shouldn’t be allowed near money ever again

Everyone who did nothing came up with something better. My $0 solution gets more plastic than this and leaves $20M available for other things

How are you going to decentralize planning around rising oceans?
> Once electric car total ownership costs get low enough

What does car ownership have to do with two billion people around the globe moving one mile inland? Why would car prices help during a bread riot?

They are competing and think theirs is better. They are trying to get people to look at the competition. That’s not ruining anything for anyone

You made my point. If it doesn’t mention skin tone then it is likely limited to one color
There isn’t in practice so you are soeaking naively for no good reason. A company that wanted to shed the term would say something like “seven skin tones” if they offered more than one “nude”
> Launch the NYC experience

> Nude

> Colors

Who’s “nude”? When is the industry going to update this term? If a female person of color outsider won’t, I guess it’s not important to anyone

Ok, I imagined it. What I saw was a lot of restaurants closing and new restaurants with better models opening in their place

You don't know how anything works
No one knows what that is
They weren't honest with themselves. High interest is difficult to pay. Only luck would have allowed them to pay

Discipline?

Less glib edit :) I should probably give you a tip. Say to yourself, “I am a meditator.” Now, imagine someone asking you “oh, when did you last meditate?” What kind of meditator are you? Are you one that can answer “I meditated today” or “I meditated yesterday and I’ll do it again today”? Or, will you answer, “I meditated last week” or “it’s been a slow month for meditation”?

If you can’t say “I’m a meditator” and mean it, then you should just stop thinking of yourself as one who meditates. You don’t practice meditation in any real sense. That’s the rules of discipline. You are what you do and you aren’t what you don’t

Re:Golua – A Lua 5.3 engine implemented in Go on Friday November 16, 2018 @01:17PM (#18470662)
luac is the Lua compiler, not a reflection of what language the engine is written in. I'm not saying it doesn't call a compiler written in C, but executing a binary named `luac` doesn't mean that it does https://www.lua.org/manual/5.3/luac.html

> I don't think enjoying your job and being paid well need to be mutually exclusive

If there is a job, say museum docent, that the majority of qualified people would love to do then the salary of that job will approach $0. Museum docents are usually volunteers, but the chance for an art history major to practice their craft is valuable to the worker even at $0

> It could also be that the entire world isn't Austin

I'm saying that it is. If the Austin outdoor ad market looks weak, anecdotally, then it is probably weak everywhere and this article is a lie. Why can't the article just be a lie? That seems like a better use of everyone's time. Just assume the article is a lie and move on

Re:Billboards are an old but booming ad medium on Tuesday November 13, 2018 @10:49AM (#18441826)
True, but “boom” has a meaning. The Austin market looks like a bust. Could it be that a company that sells outdoor ads is pushing a narrative?
