Third-party “AI checkers” and LLM watermarking at generation are a bit different. I’d suggest you read some of the methods; they’re approachable to someone on this forum. False positives aren’t really a failure case with good params. False negatives, sure.
Is this meant to reply to a different comment?
The program is for federal tax filing, not state tax. I think you may be misreading this line:
> Most of those states don’t tax income at the state level, but the four that do...will guide participants to a state-supported tool that they can use to submit their state returns.
Which means it's _more_ incomplete in states with income tax (federal return through IRS pilot, state return through a state system) than in states without income tax (just federal IRS pilot return).
Anyone have some detail on the copyright law connection here?
18 U.S.C. §960
> Whoever, within the United States, knowingly begins or sets on foot or provides or prepares a means for or furnishes the money for, or takes part in, any military or naval expedition or enterprise to be carried on from thence against the territory or dominion of any foreign prince or state, or of any colony, district, or people with whom the United States is at peace, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.
Ok, it’s not, like, illegal to have contradictory license terms. But you have no idea how a counterparty or court will interpret it, and then what’s the point of having a license?
GPLv3:
> This License explicitly affirms your unlimited permission to run the unmodified Program.
Indexes can multiply your storage cost though.
> “Well, then we should fix it,” Musk wrote in an email to tech reporter Bobby Allyn, who had pointed out government aid accounts for roughly 1% of NPR’s finances.
This story will get plenty of follow-up and extraneous discussion but I do want to show some appreciation for the strength of this investigative journalism by Mazzetti, Bergman, and the
Times.
Hopefully Biden brings the hammer down and WhatsApp v. NSO wraps up soon to put the final nail in the coffin.
I do love a CRS report, but that was written before Dodd–Frank imported the bankruptcy code rules for preferential transfers into FDIC receivership.
> The Corporation as receiver for any covered financial company may avoid a transfer of an interest of the covered financial company in property [...] that enables the creditor to receive more than the creditor would receive if [...] the covered financial company had been liquidated under chapter 7 of the Bankruptcy Code... (12 U.S.C. 5390(a)(11)(b))
It also calls the 90-day clawback period out explicitly.
You're also forgetting about clawbacks of preferential transfers that happened less than 90 days before bankruptcy. 11 U.S.C. 547.
The Athenian practice historians call "ostracism" was a specific system used to exile individual political rivals. It was rare, codified, targeted, and usually used against the powerful or ascendent.
It shares a word with a modern broad concept of shunning, but shouldn't be confused with it. It certainly doesn't relate to broad discrimination or "woke cancellation."
Agree broadly that this thread has gotten too long off what was basically a joke, but!
Please measure before you make changes to your maps for perf reasons. Yeah this forum all knows their big-O, but B-tree maps like std::map often perform better than hash maps on real-world architectures.
Possibly more people know Akamai?
Entrapment is an invention of 20th century American courts. See William E. Mikell, "The Doctrine of Entrapment in the Federal Courts," U. Pa. L. Rev. 90 (1942), calling entrapment as a defense a "purely American doctrine" not considered by earlier English writers on criminal law.
Trivia aside, no. Entrapment is a specific concept narrower than "a fed lied to me."
Totally agree with you. Crap-looking people are so much more cozy and comfortable to play with. Will definitely play s&ndbox when it comes out!
? the buildings are still open to students.
I think going from a paid sketchy service to a ~free institutional one lowers the bar more than a little bit.
Lovely design and nice engineering!
I do worry about how heavy the OpenType spec is getting.
I agree, and think we should remember that many Twitter users have chronological feeds. While I'm sure it was unintended, followers of @stratecheryint would find their feed unusable for the duration of the mistaken spamming.
"Permanent" is harsh. Maybe a couple hours of cooldown and a "did you mean to start a thread or post these hourly?" message would be a nice alternative.
Ooh, what a nice feature! Didn't know Zig had this; thanks for the submission. Every build pipeline these days lints for it — might as well put it in the compiler.
