“First everyone goes crazy that people can find stuff on these platforms, ”

I don’t.

I get crazy when effectively censor at the behest of (any) government under the “we’re private” excuse.

I’m perfectly consistent about this. That and our imperative need to break apart the big tech companies (and bank, but that’s a different question)

It did.

Normal plastics (or polymers) aren’t all that bad. Some fish will choke on it and that’s terrible, sure.

But, if you want a real environmental shit-show read up of per fluorinate manufacturing.

Teflon, gore Tex, etc is the real deamon children of the polymer industry.

Even putting aside the heavy metals, the assumption that they burn into CO2 is a hard one to accomplish in fact.

Done improperly, you end up with a very snokey, sooty smoke.

Done properly, you’re dealing with very high T, which is hard, and NOx production.

But, assuming you’re doing a good job... burn baby burn!

(Just separate out the per-fluorinates - HF is nasty)

The Charter is an embarrassment/joke -> see not withstanding clause.

You don’t have to genetically engineer it. Just clone (known for millennia) a barren plant.
I don’t have much problems with assuming parties are honorable. In fact I don’t know how a justice system would work otherwise.

My problem is that our prosecutors are often dishonorable!

“Also, if I have a copy of Nabokov “Lolita” “

Enforcement is selective.

You do since the courts assume the parties behave honorably (I.e. they assume there is no parallel construction)
