I mean, cumulatively :) sorry for not being very clear
I have a 8€ storage VPS from Alpha VPS. It's far from a beefy machine. Hosting it for a few years so far. It has a blog generated with Hugo, WireGuard Easy VPN for me and my friends, Forgejo for a few small repos, SFTPGo for files. Even VPN hosting itself saves me and my friend maybe around 50$ a month. Maintenance is easy, and even easier after AI. Definitely worth it.
Re:Ask HN: What are you working on? (August 2026) on Sunday August 09, 2026 @10:24PM (#49238567)
Today I resumed working on my open source browser extension to export chats from Microsoft Teams web client, after a two week long mandatory break due to busy dayjob activities. Now tackling the issues opened by users. Reached to more than 75000 users in less than a year, which makes me happy that its a useful thing.

A browser extension to export conversations from Teams. I initially needed a readily available tool, I was ready to pay a few bucks for it. Turns out there isn’t an alternative for me because existing ones require instance admin to enable this, Microsoft Graph API permission, or some other requirement which I could not fulfill. Then started vibe coding it. Once it started working, I thought “I’m sure that there are people out there who needs smth like this” and pushed to GitHub and extension stores of popular browsers. Now more than 15000 people use this. https://github.com/gediz/teams-web-chat-exporter
Re:How Did TVs Get So Cheap? on Thursday January 08, 2026 @09:15AM (#46541193)
Not sure about the second paragraph, but about first one I kind of agree with "someone else paying the hidden cost". I believe Google, Amazon, Roku, etc. basically pay the ODMs to manufacture the TV for them, and market the devices with affordable prices to acquire more users, in order to gain more usage data from consumers.
Re:Ask HN: What Are You Working On? (December 2025) on Monday December 15, 2025 @06:00PM (#46282083)
I wanted to export long chats from Microsoft Teams but turns out Microsoft Graph API or some PowerShell scripts were necessary. API access is not enabled by our IT manager by default so existing solutions dis not help. So I built (vibe-coded) a browser extension for myself, then decided to open source it. There are still some edges to smooth out but it’s going fine.

Turns out it was a common pain point. Now it has around 800 users in Chrome+Firefox. Mostly chrome.

ADHD?
Completely agree. These kind of articles are always an inspiration. It’s nowhere near wholesome like the original post but I’ve tried to write in similar style before. Shameless self plug: https://blog.aydindogm.us/posts/superbox-hacks-v1/

Sometimes it takes great amount of time to understand a specific flow in any given software that's abstract enough. This is a great concept. I'm ready to pay for it.
I think some of the Zachtronics games may be helpful to learn about Assembly.
Great job. Buttery smooth even on a low end mobile device.
