Whataboutism
So tragic. One of the victims was a 14 year old mother.
Yeah, that is why people are using Li's money laundering services. They cannot get cash out of China legally so they do it illegally.
Oh neat. That is less common as it's usually the teams hiring devs directly.
Re:EU Passes Law to Switch iPhone to USB-C by End of 2024 on Tuesday October 04, 2022 @09:51AM (#33080351)
Correct! In fact it can even help innovation.
Re:Meta announces hiring freeze, warns employees of restructuring on Thursday September 29, 2022 @06:55PM (#33028442)
That's literally just Google's hiring practices. There is a team matching phase for all engineers.
Re:Meta announces hiring freeze, warns employees of restructuring on Thursday September 29, 2022 @06:52PM (#33028417)
Nah, it's the whites who the hiring market favors.
Re:Patreon Lays off 17% of Staff on Tuesday September 13, 2022 @01:16PM (#32827268)
Construction companies would like a word with you.
Re:U.N. expert says minorities suffer slavery in Xinjiang on Thursday September 08, 2022 @11:03AM (#32766638)
Again, the UN has never declared that there is a holocaust or a genocide in Xinjiang. None of your sources, which clearly you have not bothered to read in depth, say that.

Show me the evidence of a holocaust. You cannot because there is no evidence.

I really wish you would take the time to learn what the words you are using actually mean rather than spam links by Radio Free Asia and Adrian Zenz who have proved themselves propagandists.

Re:U.N. expert says minorities suffer slavery in Xinjiang on Sunday August 28, 2022 @11:01PM (#32634367)
You talk a lot for someone with no evidence.

> the video evidence, the formal position of the UN, the formal position of NATO, and the formal position of more than 120 countries.

Literally none of this is true. The UN has not found any evidence of death camps or a holocaust so you have been misinformed.

I beg you to actually do some reading on this topic because the things you are spewing are just embarrassing.

Honestly, you have such a childlike understanding of the world it's sad. Just utterly brainwashed.

Re:Show HN: Pornpen.ai – AI-Generated Porn on Friday August 26, 2022 @11:54AM (#32609055)
Keep in mind this AI is biased towards white men's interests which means it heavily fetishizes and degrades Asian women.

Even searching for other races shows predominantly Asian women in the results, its quite disturbing.

Re:U.N. expert says minorities suffer slavery in Xinjiang on Thursday August 25, 2022 @02:15PM (#32597724)
Your understanding of the world is rather primitive if you think there is systemic mass murder ongoing where there isn't any. After countless investigations have come up short I don't know why people like you continue to spout mistruths. The propaganda you have been fed is hard to see past indeed.
Re:Protonmail Recommended Browsers on Thursday August 25, 2022 @10:52AM (#32594441)
The 'commercial'ness of Protonmail is why I trust it. The email company makes money by charging for email accounts. Very straightforward.
Re:U.N. expert says minorities suffer slavery in Xinjiang on Monday August 22, 2022 @01:40PM (#32554717)
What is asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.
Re:U.N. expert says minorities suffer slavery in Xinjiang on Monday August 22, 2022 @01:39PM (#32554697)
The joke reveals a deeper understanding of the world than the people raging against it.
Re:U.N. expert says minorities suffer slavery in Xinjiang on Monday August 22, 2022 @01:39PM (#32554691)
Yes.
Re:U.N. expert says minorities suffer slavery in Xinjiang on Saturday August 20, 2022 @05:08PM (#32535142)
Not astroturfing, just have a different opinion than you do.

Again, there is no evidence and 'we've all seen it' is a bunch of BS.

Re:U.N. expert says minorities suffer slavery in Xinjiang on Saturday August 20, 2022 @05:07PM (#32535140)
Amen
Re:U.N. expert says minorities suffer slavery in Xinjiang on Friday August 19, 2022 @03:55PM (#32525339)
There's no evidence of death camps in Xinjiang.
Re:U.N. expert says minorities suffer slavery in Xinjiang on Friday August 19, 2022 @03:54PM (#32525328)
Sorry, you're so laughably wrong to the point of it being sad.
Re:U.N. expert says minorities suffer slavery in Xinjiang on Friday August 19, 2022 @03:52PM (#32525317)
Prison labor is slavery. Did you ever stop and consider the peverse incentives inherent in forcing prisoners to work for the profits of a private prison?

Also, nice strawman.

Re:U.N. expert says minorities suffer slavery in Xinjiang on Friday August 19, 2022 @03:51PM (#32525305)
I wish people were smart enough to recognize sarcasm.
Re:As TikTok grows, so does suspicion on Thursday July 14, 2022 @09:21PM (#32103509)
They didn't hold a referendum. Honestly if you're this ignorant on Hong Kong politics then I'm wasting my time.
Re:As TikTok grows, so does suspicion on Wednesday July 13, 2022 @11:40AM (#32084205)
It's decided in Hong Kong. If you bothered to care about the opinion of Hong Kongers you might know that.
Re:As TikTok grows, so does suspicion on Tuesday July 12, 2022 @10:33AM (#32070557)
Hong Kong is still a democracy. It is the will of Hong Kong citizens to be free from British imperialism.
Re:As TikTok grows, so does suspicion on Monday July 11, 2022 @04:50PM (#32061643)
They have been freed, they are reunited with China. Hong Kong still has a democracy only now that system is answerable to Beijing. Not hard to grasp.
Re:As TikTok grows, so does suspicion on Monday July 11, 2022 @12:27PM (#32058277)
No, they're keeping the two systems in place. Opening up the country would destroy that.
Re:As TikTok grows, so does suspicion on Monday July 11, 2022 @12:20PM (#32058166)
The UK treated Hong Kongers as second class citizens. They censored newspapers and history books, only allowing those which agreed with imperialist Britain.

They then suppressed any autonomy in Hong Kong for decades, installing a ruthless puppet government.

Was the US obeying the law when they invaded Iraq leading to the death of 400,000 Iraqi civilians?
