Dave here if anyone has any questions.
Those weren’t acquihires
Shortcuts now runs on every iPhone
How do you plan on stopping people from using this tool maliciously?
If anything this piece convinced me that robots aren’t actually that dangerous…
Dave here. This is my first blog post I’ve published since the hackathon days.
Would love to hear what yall think!
Why's it written in Rust? Rust is so hard.
Would be so much more accessible to engineers like myself if it were in javascript.
I mean JavaScript is the universal language…
I can’t believe the author doesn’t allow conversion to JavaScript
It’s the most popular language for heavens sakes. Developers really need to stop bringing their religion into open source.
Please do. I’m curious to see what this looks like in production repos.
Seems like this actually works by generating tests and continuing to try different things until the tests run successfully on both the source and the target codebase.
Did it work? Link the repo.
Did you try it yet? Curious how far it could get.
Has anyone tried it yet?
Would be crazy if it worked.
How does this compare to Copilot X for that same codebase?
How does this answer questions that haven’t been answered yet?
What's your favorite snowy mountain onsen in Japan?
Thinking of going to meditate for ten days for New Years.
Wow. How long did it take yall to pull this off?
Do farmers really use apps?
wow. thats dope.
and can the rental properties you purchase on awning ever be converted into your own residence or is this strictly for buying RE that will have a yield for you?
How’s this different than Opendoor?
Wow is this just going to replace basic backend engineers forever? Just think how many people y’all are putting out of a job with this.
Honestly, it’s crazy. We back incredible women who end up spending at least four times fundraising than similarly qualified men, consistently get offered lower valuations, and end up raising less capital. It’s fucked up — the three solo female founders we backed are some of the best performers in our fund I so that makes me wonder how many incredible women aren’t getting funded at all who would also crush if they had the resources.
They said the same thing to me about hackathons when we did 300, then 500, then 1000, then 2000. And I still think hackathons could scale more and benefit from doing so.
But it seems as if no one is bold enough to do so. YC is.
This quote from Sama echoes through my head constantly:
“The central learning of my career so far has been that you can and should scale up things that are working. The power of scale, and the emergent behavior that sometimes comes from it, is tremendous. I think about the potential energy of future scale for every investment I make. Most people seem terrible at this, so it’s another bug you can exploit.”
I never thought I would own another vehicle, then I saw Nimbus:
http://nimbus.greenIt's a tiny car that fits in a motorcycle parking spot, charges via a wall outlet, has AC, and is 15x safer than a motorcyle or scooter. Just preordered one.
I think not needing a supercharger will change everything.
The fastest way to know if someone is the right cofounder is to
1. Work with them in a high pressure / time boxed environment
2. Live with them
This is the perfect environment to do both.
Seeing David’s passion for line rider over the years has been nothing short of inspiring. He’s a mathematical genius who brings that to play across everything from music to line rider to software. Can’t wait to see what they build next!
