Many people talking about the Gender Wage Gap fail to differentiate between Wages and Earnings. There is a earnings gap, but no wage gap.
The EU started as a union to promote freedom of movement, peace and trade inside Europe. Since then, it has grown to be an oversized bureaucracy that restricts the freedoms of European citizens. Everyone who criticize it is immediately labelled as a right winger.
There are thousands of examples with similar style across the "mainstream" media. At what point can we judge the state of journalism as a whole?
I hope rust becomes more mainstream in companies. At the moment it seems like a lot of smaller components are implemented in rust, to allow employees to get familiar with it.

I do not like Oslos city center. Everything seems so over-engineered and non-organic
Re:New Dell XPS 13 developer edition now available on Thursday January 24, 2019 @03:43AM (#18987004)
I never understood, why Dell only offers a FHD and UHD model. FHD just looks shitty after using more high def displays, and UHD sucks the life out of this thing. Otherwise, perfect laptop.
Young people have always been less interested in politics. Just because you/we don't like how the elderly are voting, we don't have to make this a bigger issue than it is.
It's easy to blame on gender bias in todays climate, unfortunately. Every single major media outlet will publish your story.

It is becoming increasingly difficult to differentiate between actual gender bias and gender bias pushed by activist, i feel.

The author using the word "mansplaining" disqualifies her from any hint of professionalism

This will backfire, as in previous experiments: http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-06-30/bilnd-recruitment-tria...
The AI just generalizes to match the best possible output. all this bias reducing stuff in ML will backfire
maybe, but 2016 told us a different story.
People like Cortez will only hurt the Democrats by moving them further left and moving voters from the middle to alternatives other than democrats
> Nosrat’s work to diversify the kinds of faces quite literally seen as culinary experts is directly connected to her view of food

Can there be anything on the internet WITHOUT injecting social justice talking points into it? What the fuck does the quality of food have to do with my skin color?

the opposite of misogyny is misandry

A more serious take: https://www.counterpunch.org/2018/03/30/the-spawn-feminisms-...

Of course, esepcially the first link is definitely biased. But you find it all over if you look for it. #killallmen, #maletears etc on Twitter. You get the point.

oh, typo! Violence may be motivated by misogyny, yada yada
Have you read the title?

> [...] elevated misogyny to new levels of violence

Misogyny is not violence. Violence may be motivated by violence, but in itself it is not violence. She follow the disturbing trend to call words and speech "violence"

> “It is without doubt that social media has allowed this to happen,” she says of the toxic moment we’re in. “It has created the opportunity for men with anti-feminist ideas to broadcast their views to more people than ever before – and to spread conspiracy theories, lies and misinformation

Even if you believe what shes trying to explain, why is it unique for men? Radical feminists do the same thing, just reversed. Anyone with any hateful opinion can speak on the internet.

And people wonder why the brits voted Brexit.
Wow, what a surprise with a privacy focused company like Google.
The only thing that is stopping me to jump to a linux laptop is battery life. MacOs is just optimised to a crazy extent. Nothing really comes close to the same battery performance if you don't want to get your hands dirty with tlp.
This looks great! Also, nice to see some modern Cmake in the wild ;)

The democrats won the popular vote in 2016. Not sure what you're talking about

It literally says in the article they are identitarians. Therefore my statement about identity politics is correct

cultural marxism is an extreme right wing view?

The term "liberal" has changed in the minds of people, my friend. Liberals are now synonymous with left wingers, who are NOT pro-capitalist.

Re:YouTubers Will Enter Politics on Tuesday October 23, 2018 @09:12AM (#18283047)
And what was his intent? Courts just ignored his statements. and the video made clear that is was comedic intent.

What do you think his intent was?

Re:YouTubers Will Enter Politics on Tuesday October 23, 2018 @09:11AM (#18283033)
Ok, "every" was a little hyperbolic...my bad. This is what I know about it, mainly https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Icjwbn85CUs

Take it with a grain of salt. But I find this behaviour from a state sponsored journalist worrying.

Re:YouTubers Will Enter Politics on Tuesday October 23, 2018 @09:09AM (#18283024)
I did. Like I said they assumed his intent, which is exactly the opposite to what courts are supposed to do. Do you really think posting a "grossly offensive video on the internet" is enough to get you fined? People are offended all the time. Would you react the same way if Nazis were triggered by Antifa videos?

Did you watch the video? Do you honestly think he hates Jews. Honest question

Re:YouTubers Will Enter Politics on Tuesday October 23, 2018 @04:57AM (#18281826)
I lost all respect for Boehmermann after he released his twitter block list, and just lumped in every journalist to the right of himself with real Nazis. He's part of the problem
Re:YouTubers Will Enter Politics on Tuesday October 23, 2018 @04:56AM (#18281820)
alt-right is right wing identity politics.

Sargon is anti identity politics and a classic, free speech pro-capitalist liberal. I'm not sure where you take your information from
