Re:HackerTube: YouTube built from videos recommended by HN on Sunday November 01, 2026 @01:04AM (#50322862)
This is a great concept, but I want to see more recent videos. Not videos uploaded 6-9 months ago. It would be great to be able to filter for videos uploaded in the last month.

How do you connect your phone to Ethernet?
Re:We're releasing the weights of Mistral Large 4 on Thursday October 29, 2026 @12:14PM (#50291412)
This is the new OSI Open source definition for AI models:

https://opensource.org/ai/open-source-ai-definition

Mistral Large 4 is definitely not open given the "use for any purpose without having to ask for permission" requirement.

I read it the first time with a study group which was very helpful.

That's pretty neat.
Re:Build your own decision model on Sunday October 11, 2026 @12:15AM (#50039743)
I'm looking forward to a "Build a Decision Model (From Scratch)" book.
Re:Muse: Meta's personal AI agent, features and capabilities on Tuesday September 08, 2026 @11:10PM (#49620382)
It seems like they recreated Manus, the AI app they were blocked from acquiring. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cj0v0gr2yz7o
Re:Show HN: LLM Attention Visualization on Tuesday September 08, 2026 @02:49PM (#49614910)
This is great, I've read multiple books and watched videos about the attention mechanism. Now that I understand it, this is the clearest example I've seen on how attention works.
Re:Muse Spark 1.3 on Wednesday September 02, 2026 @07:08PM (#49543843)
I also aced my interview by focussing on pelicancode problems, instead of leetcode problems.
Unfortunately they are needed now.

"The 2026 FIFA World Cup was the hottest World Cup since the competition began in 1930. A Guardian analysis found that close to 20 percent of matches were played under heat and humidity conditions that FIFPRO, the players' union, has flagged as dangerous enough to warrant delaying or postponing play. Some 20 games were played at wet bulb globe temperatures that hit or exceeded 28 degrees Celsius (82 Fahrenheit)." - Katharine Hayhoe's newsletter

Re:Pacing the Frontier on Tuesday July 28, 2026 @04:57PM (#49089807)
> We request that the U.S. government support an international effort to develop the technical and governance tools needed to deliberately pace the frontier of automated AI development.

This is quite vague to me, what exactly do you mean?

Re:Quality non-fiction books are the antithesis of AI slop on Wednesday July 22, 2026 @11:35PM (#49016601)
Nice site, but most of the top biographies are US figures: Edgar Hoover, Frederick Douglass, Lyndon Johnson etc. I'd like to see more non-US biographies.
I think product demo walk through would be very helpful on the home page.
Re:Topcoat: The full full-stack framework for Rust on Saturday July 18, 2026 @11:50PM (#48964826)
This would be consuming an openapi endpoint from my rust service generated using utoipa. Currently I generate an openapi.yaml file and use openapi-typescript to generate the api bindings.
Re:Topcoat: The full full-stack framework for Rust on Saturday July 18, 2026 @12:59AM (#48955363)
This looks great, it looks like something I'd use long term instead of Typescript. I do see a couple of things missing before I could port my web app over. Integration with - Design systems such as Shadcn or Radix UI. An example on how to integrate with an OpenAPI endpoint.
Re:AI 2040: Plan A on Friday July 10, 2026 @07:18PM (#48866592)
"America has two workforces now" - The rest of the world can use AI too ya know.

I looks like they took inspiration from Thinking Machines - http://thinkingmachines.ai/blog/interaction-models/
Re:Codex for Open Source on Sunday June 14, 2026 @12:26AM (#48524172)
"6 months of ChatGPT Pro, which includes Codex" - come on, just make it free. Last time I checked OpenAI was worth $852 billion.
Re:Claude Fable 5: mid-tier results on coding tasks on Thursday June 11, 2026 @05:51PM (#48496921)
Yet it's ranked #1 on https://cursor.com/cursorbench
I feel like using Fable in the name is a mistake, who knows how long that model will be around.
It's only logical if you are anti-immigration, which is what the US is now.

TIL a new word - "boosterism"
Re:Building for the Future on Thursday May 07, 2026 @04:59PM (#48054915)
It looks like they are using the "agentic AI era" as an excuse to restructure in order to boost margins. GAAP gross margin dropped ~5 points YoY (76% -> 71%)

Re:DeepSeek v4 on Friday April 24, 2026 @03:08PM (#47894534)
Any plans to publish the benchmark results?
> The poison fountain itself is hosted on rnsaffn.com

Would the scrapers not just add these sites to do not crawl list?

Re:Qwen3.6-35B-A3B: Agentic Coding Power, Now Open to All on Thursday April 16, 2026 @12:56PM (#47796236)
I don't understand why the open source model providers don't also publish the quantized version?
An easy target for a drone!
Re:Malus – Clean Room as a Service on Thursday March 12, 2026 @02:39PM (#47355276)

I think they should take some responsibility!
