Re:My New Favorite Tool for Reviewing PDFs: Okular on Monday March 25, 2019 @10:15PM (#19488731)
One tool that doesn't seem to get the attention it deserves is Marginnote. I spent a bit more money than I should have on it, but in terms of reading, annotating, and making notes from PDF's I don't think there's anything else even close. I particularly love the ability to create a mindmap, flashcards for spaced repetition, and native export to evernote. https://www.marginnote.com/
this is interesting, it does explain why now on tap is such an important feature for Marshmallow. lets you cross check without switching out of the app
Re:The first dead Unicorn will be Evernote on Tuesday September 15, 2015 @04:44AM (#10219586)
I was afraid of this, I've spent years optimizing my workflow to store stuff in Evernote, because I love it's search feature. (IFTTT recipes to save everything from twitter/reddit/etc into it). I'm extremely ADD, and even have audio recordings from years ago that I'm hesitant to jettison. anyone know the quickest way to push everything (audio+pdf's) to an alternative?

Also, do One Note/ any other alternative do search within PDF?

Re:Why Reddit is mediocre: some scientific evidence on Monday September 15, 2014 @06:00PM (#8321784)
The paper is fairly interesting from a methodological POV, and I do agree with the hypothesis that negative feedback actually does encourage trolls too, but none of those communities are anything close to reddit in their scope. The biggest problem I see in making the analogy is the fact that two of the four communities(allkpop, IGN) studied are fairly myopic in their subject focus, and subject to filter bubbles.
