Something about OpenAI chasing math problems is telling me they're after a better architecture because they've seen model collapse over and over.
Yes, I'm quite confident that's what OpenAI is doing. These math proofs are just a side effect of them trying to create new data out of the blue for a better model. But that's still chasing a wild goose and hitting jackpots with 10,000 active agents, it doesn't necessarily prove RSI.
I don't know why I seem to be the only one to wonder this but .. even if AI hypothetically can output smarter data to train a better AI, how do we know for sure this loop just goes on without eventually plateauing? What if what happens is just .. the data becomes more high definition, rather than becoming "new" data?
makes me wonder if these retail investors are noticing how everyone keeps mentioning them about holding the bag
Re:Postgres 19 is late, and it's AI's fault on Monday November 02, 2026 @08:56AM (#50336855)
Yes but that's not entirely obfuscation, see ie what google does to their proprietary endpoints through protobuff. Something like that but on steroids could skip the majority of attackers using LLM scanners.
Re:Mathematics has changed. Let's act like it on Monday November 02, 2026 @07:02AM (#50335706)
I think OpenAI's limitations are quickly verifiable results. 10,000 agents running in parallel aren't exactly talking to each other. They have a goal and one eventually hits the goal which can be automatically confirmed. This is why math is currently attacked, lean is easy to confirm A = B.

They aren't gonna create room temperature superconductors because they'll need a lab that can quickly, and verifiably, test superconductors at 10,000 per minute and that's just a physical limitation no matter how many datacenters you throw at it.

Art is the ability to transform one experience into another. That's a generalization only RSI can hopefully come up with.
Re:The AI cost of JavaScript frameworks on Monday November 02, 2026 @06:33AM (#50335520)
Frontend has exploded in complexity. Separating concerns whereby the frontend does not care about the backend leads to better quality.

Just rendering a simple e-mail client on page 5 of a search result is simple enough to understand that streaming html for that state would require rocket science of string manipulation.

Besides that, you still did not answer how is updating the entire innerHTML for small changes better than just updating affected nodes?

I feel like security by obfuscation might actually be valuable in the age of llm attacks

I mean everyone should know labels if you have to break inside a nested loops. At least I hope so cause then that code has some bad bugs in it.
Re:The AI cost of JavaScript frameworks on Sunday November 01, 2026 @07:51AM (#50325159)
that still doesn't answer the question, are you suggesting to maintain 1 giant string that represents the whole page whereby document.innerHTML is called everytime the string changes, or are you suggesting something else?
Re:The AI cost of JavaScript frameworks on Sunday November 01, 2026 @07:25AM (#50324960)
I don't understand how does manipulating html as string exactly makes anything better? wouldn't that cause for the whole page to just re-render with every small change?

just because a keyword makes shitty devs shoot themselves in the foot, you shouldn't remove the keyword

I'm still sour why goto doesn't exist in javascript

yeah fair point, he'd probably tell them the nobel prize management should be handed to another country or something
Re:Malware uses LLMs to rank victims by how much they're worth on Saturday October 31, 2026 @01:55PM (#50318338)
Don't know why you're getting scrutinized, npm didn't introduce malicious packages obviously but it did completely remove the feeling of suspicion and responsibility people had towards third party libraries.

The pre 2020 bootcampers would basically npm install anything because that's all they knew. You even had bullshit like "is-array" with millions of weekly installs because how dare you reinvent the wheel.

I am far from an ai booster but at this point I think even chatgpt 3.5 would do a better job than the current establishment

result of years of negligent ceos and "eh nothing will happen" vibes finally emerging as LLMs turn script kiddies into dangerous hackers

no it bans you for not having a conservative viewpoint, that's completely different from wanting you
