Re:General Motors invests $500m in Lyft, forms partnership on Monday January 04, 2016 @10:41AM (#10836131)
Is this genius or am I just an idiot?

If GM feels like their cars are built for high-impact driving that Lyft drivers do, I think it's a fantastic idea to integrate some resources into that.

The article also mentions they get access to the software, so they could potentially find out what brands are preferred in certain areas, or what areas are harder on which cars.

This just seems like such a smart move for GM.

Re:Tor Anonymity: Things Not to Do on Monday January 04, 2016 @09:15AM (#10835705)
Why doesn't Tor Browser just spoof a default screensize? Why is it necessary to tell websites what size the screen is? Would it be possible to still see responsive websites if a default screensize was chosen? Perhaps a few 'presets' could be created for different aspect ratios and then it would alright?

Just curious I guess, it's a shame that there are people out there who've likely done everything right except changing the size of their window, and maybe they got v& or even hurt because of this.

Mitigation has already engaged, it's basically over at this point.
Re:List of selfie related injuries and deaths on Sunday December 27, 2015 @12:17PM (#10798029)
People already injure themselves when they are looking at their phone and not paying attention to their surroundings, I guess it's just the prolific representation of selfies in pop culture that makes this list 'necessary'.

Maybe someday we'll just watch where we're going...
