Re:The CIA Is Deep into Cryptocurrency, Director Reveals on Tuesday December 07, 2021 @04:02PM (#29478189)
Odds are they helped develop and encourage it's adoption.

Results of crypto 1. One of the primary attack vectors on gold, one of the main enemies of the dollar and federal reserve.

2. Mass speculation and greed in crypto has led to it's adoption, which has led to the talk that we need a digital currency for several reasons. Results of a fully digital currency? Every dollar is tracked, no need for the $600 bank reporting requirement to catch the RICH

3. I still can't see the developer of Bitcoin not being a large group associated with government. Who could resist the temptation to be one of the richest people in the world from your creation, a group who is utilizing it for another purpose.

Go down the Robert sepehr (has a channel on youtube) rabbit hole my friend. He's an anthropologist who has connected the dots in an interesting way if true.
One if their main duties is to go after counterfeiting of the currency. In fact it's what they were founded to do

https://www.secretservice.gov/about/history

We are one of America’s oldest federal law enforcement agencies, originally created in 1865 to stamp out rampant counterfeiting in order to stabilize America's young financial system. By the end of the Civil War, nearly one-third of all currency in circulation was counterfeit. As a result, the country’s financial stability was in jeopardy. To address this concern, the Secret Service was established in 1865 as a bureau in the Treasury Department to suppress widespread counterfeiting.

I'm at the point where shows like the sopranos I would love to watch in their entirety in theaters. I could see an era where shows have their weekly premiers in theaters in their later seasons after achieving a certain level of success.

An eternal truth in cinema/tv. Once fans fall in love with the characters, they will stick around until you drop the ball

There upside for the powers at be is:

1. that all transactions are no longer left to the honesty of the tax filer to be taxable. There will be a paper trail for the authorities.

Nothing like invading Afghanistan the heart of poppy production with a us army. You would imagine we could shut down the production fairly easy, if that's the point.
Steam boat willy doesn't bring in any $$$. When one of the early classics that still sells (Bambi, snow white, etc) comes up please believe an extension is right around the corner
At least in the USA. It will involve thc, just not the thc molecule your expecting. The thc everyone knows and loves is thc 9, this is the psychoactive thc that most gets us "high". The hack occurs from converting CBD (derived from legal hemp plants) to thc. Thc derived from CBD comes as a mixture primarily of thc 8 (call it diet thc gives you a very light buzz or high without the paranoid ) and a minority of this mixture is thc 9 (the thc component that gets you high). Prior to the introduction of converted CBD to thc8/thc9 a kilo of thc9 oil was around $6 to 9 thousand. The converted CBD THC d8/d9 kilos have plummeted the price down to $2-4 thousand

They used the life savings of the butler and the lady of the night who took in Winthorp to fund their operation.
Re:Virginia lawmakers pass marijuana legalization bills on Saturday February 06, 2021 @03:16AM (#26045087)
The reason I feel federally they will delay legalizing it as much as possible is due to tax revenue. Due to it being illegally federally, the irs does not allow anyone to write off their expenses accept expenses that contribute to the cost of goods sold. This increases the effective tax rate drastically
Where's the cia when you need them to topple a dictator who oppresses with slave labor

In other words, by creating more long lasting instability in the Middle Easy they achieved their goal, hypothetically speaking in the simulation of course.

On other forums people are taking advantage of the situation to refinance their homes where they don't want a privacy inspection (medical marijuana grows which are legal, but under certain circumstances banks may ask questions)
A slight wrinkle I have found is contractors that discover how profitable you are, can often "feel" screwed over after the deal is struck and the project is on motion despite their position being profitable and exactly what they bargained for.
Fuego con limon , spicy chips with a hint of lemon are by far my favorite chip I discovered in Mexico. It took me a few months to find them when I came back state side. I wasn't able to find the standard chip, only oven baked when I got back to the USA. Although I'm sure the oven baked are healthier, it definitely came at the expense of flavor and enjoyment
The Fed has been fudging the inflation numbers since Moses was in short pants. Here's an explanation on how it's done.

https://youtu.be/oP8nCMKJ3nI

Long story short by making inflation appear lower then it is, the tax brackets have stayed lower then they otherwise would, costing tax payers an extra 130 billion over 10 years
