I think physics will be the limiting factor. Even if something recursively self improves, it will hit a physical wall allowed by circuits, batteries etc. A lot of the fear is that there’s an upper bound we don’t know about, whether it be time or energy, that allows a fast takeoff to occur fast enough that we dong have time to see it coming. I don’t know about that… so I’m not worried at this point.
Based on not being an idiot. Simple observation is enough.

No offense but have you considered the strong possibility that you’re just not good at what you do? I am occassionally pleased but mostly annoyed or disappointed… but never getting anything close to chills. That sounds downright weird.

They have no choice, enterprise customers won’t touch them unless they take a position like this. It’s a practical decision for them at the end of the the day.

Actually it is a shame. It doesn’t “polish” it, it turns it into generic irritating slop, with the same style all AI slop is written in. It screams “the person who made this is lazy”. It is frankly an insult to the reader.
Maybe English isn’t your first language so you don’t appreciate that, but I promise if it was done in your native language it would piss you off.

The reality is that we are hitting a plateau that’s taking us as far as transformer architecture will allow us. Until another breakthrough happens, I heavily doubt we’re on the cusp of anything, instead it’s clear that things are levelling out.

You’re comparing a single app with an entire ecosystem and app marketplace. Poor comparison.

It’s not a thank you letter. It’s AI slop.
Because not everyone makes their decisions through the prism of politics

Once in a blue moon is fine but at that frequency? Sounds like you’re just short circuiting your brain and enjoying the sprays while they last.
