News for hackers. Stuff that matters.

fakeslimshady

It’s probably been undervalued for a long time. Not just fabs , hardware comp used to on par or higher than SW many years ago. Now it’s fallen behind on average. But eventually shock (eg trade embargo) will cause a correction
The US killed millions in last 2 wars. Acutal deaths.

China is accused of what ? actual re-education. Both in reaction to terror attacks.

Keep in mind we are mostly reading the propaganda. Look at actual videos of people going to Xinjiang avail tells different story.

Who am I kidding you are a racist claiming to support muslims , give me a break

Re:Is the US about to split the internet? on Friday August 07, 2020 @10:18AM (#24082091)
Not true. You heard of Tesla? Its doing quite well and has majority stake. Things have gotten lot better but it been buried under the propaganda
Re:Huawei CEO: After September 15 No More Kirin Chips on Friday August 07, 2020 @09:52AM (#24081784)
The world is reliant on TSMC even Intel is capitulating and going to use TSMC
Re:Trump gives Microsoft 45 days to clinch TikTok deal on Tuesday August 04, 2020 @10:42AM (#24050455)
Most of this is white supremacist propaganda has already been disproven the rest I suspect will also be disproven in due time. Even the Turkish president taking refugees says is in the scope of thousands not millions.

Secondly IRAQ war or Afghanistan regime changes kill MILLIONS. Gitmo. Hypocritical at best. CIA has funded guerilla efforts to sabotage BRI if you want to know what that truly is about

Re:Trump gives Microsoft 45 days to clinch TikTok deal on Monday August 03, 2020 @03:56PM (#24042578)
I'm glad a few people have common sense. Anybody who's even used TikTok for 1min could figure that out. There definitely brain washed racist fools that give any credence serial liar like Trump
Re:Trump says he will ban TikTok through executive action on Saturday August 01, 2020 @12:25AM (#24017601)
Its a good question, but there actually is a good reason: https://youtu.be/f2srfDwM2sQ?t=307
Only if you drink Trumps racist FUD propaganda. All I see is US bullying China clearly

If Tiktok is the greatest "threat" than obviously there is less than meets the eye. More likely NSA can't spy on US citizens. Its so obviously easy to check out and block. If I were China, I just make things transparent in the age of built in backdoors would be huge untapped market.

It wouldnt work on five eye, but the other 200+ nations would be won [keep it coming haters]

There has to be startups already doing just that
You mean like taliban funded by US against Russia. That's what I used to think be after looking at it, the US is constantly funding destabilization efforts like this. Yes including the recent China riots.

What if it was true and we were the ones fed propaganda. The truth is out there

Re:Did a Chinese Hack Kill Nortel? on Monday July 06, 2020 @12:02AM (#23744585)
Bloomberg's last China hack article was completely discredited, and still no retraction/explaination. They have the appearances of Trump's propaganda machine. Considering the timing of this relative to the election and GOP's sole strategy of China scapegoating we can all take this latest as more of the same
Re:Huawei Mate 30 phones launch without Google apps on Thursday September 19, 2019 @12:40PM (#21017925)
Now all this means is the user needs to install themselves rather than use the pre-install bloatware. A clean start might actually be preferrable for a lot of people
Re:U.S. is behind on 5G rules and deployment on Saturday July 06, 2019 @01:59PM (#20370904)
I would love to have higher bandwidth as would most IT related professionals. Thats been true since the days of analog modems.
Re:Tmux and Vim – better together on Thursday April 20, 2017 @01:01PM (#14158510)
I simply updated mvim and :E stopped working on OSX. I could work around with NERDtree, but its one of those things turned into a timesink when I didn't need it.
It's probably impossible to shut down, but put in place authorization processes that will discourage abuse
Racism doesn't need a legit reason
Re:Rich Dad Poor Dad... Worst Personal Finance Book of All Time? on Wednesday February 08, 2012 @05:38PM (#3568905)
Haters will hate and John Reed is capitalizing on this fringe niche to sell his own investment books. Anyone who dismisses RDPD based solely on what Reed wrote is as big a sheep as what he calling Kiyosaki's fans.

I enjoyed RDPD and there were several other Rich Dad books I found very good : Success Stories and Form Your Own Corporation. I can hardly think of dryer subject material than corporate legal structures, but I found the RD book easy reading

Re:China’s Family Planning Goes Awry on Wednesday December 09, 2009 @12:44PM (#986146)
I'm surprised by the lack of common sense on this topic. (1) China doesn't just exports goods. It is a leading (if not the leading ) exporter of people http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overseas_Chinese (2) Extrapolating birth ratios stats into "unmarriagable men" doesn't work if you ignore the large difference in marriage rates due culture. Mainland Chinese has a relatively simple old school culture. People marry earlier than in the US and therefore "utilitize" their women at higher rates in the US and have lower divorce rates. I know an surprising number of decent guys in the US in their 40s of all sorts of ethnic backgrounds (white, latino, jewish, asian etc) that never married - sometimes never had a girlfriend. I know an equal number of women in US that have never married into their 40s and dont' look to marry soon. American culture simply does not PUSH as hard as Chinese culture to get married therefore the real gap is not as big as one might assume
Re:From PHP to ASP.net: Obama's Peaceful Transition of Power on Wednesday January 21, 2009 @01:41PM (#443592)
I think it is consistent with the theme of stimulating the economy. Your not going to stim it by using all free stuff regardless of the merits.
Re:Long Ring Fingers May Point to Wealth in Traders, Study Says on Tuesday January 13, 2009 @03:52PM (#432680)
Exactly. This articles implies if I take steriods, my T levels increase, making me a better trader. I think more likely it just would make me a bigger maniac therefore taking bigger gambles, when I win it will be bigger, but also my chances of blowing up are bigger (and not counted in the study)
Re:My Job Interview at Google on Monday November 24, 2008 @06:12PM (#375609)
Looks like you just dodged a bullet given the layoff announcement
Re:Let Detroit Go Bankrupt on Thursday November 20, 2008 @07:20PM (#371250)
There are probably 100s of industries and sectors imploding in this depression (folks hitech is getting there) that don't have lobbying power like the Autos. Instead bailing out Autos or Wall Street, this money needs to bailing out the wave of people that are going to enviably lose there jobs no matter what plan is done. But we should get something for the useful and lasting for the money - build Nuclear Power Plants, build a 100Mbs internet like they have in Japan/Korea, etc.
Re:Yang To Step Down As Yahoo CEO on Tuesday November 18, 2008 @01:22AM (#367945)
In retrospect, it would have been better for shareholders to let Carl Icahn takeover and tear Yahoo to shreds and bend over for Microsoft. To make such a choice then, I just don't see a CEO giving it up like that. Thats why the proxy voted the way it did.
Re:Yang To Step Down As Yahoo CEO on Tuesday November 18, 2008 @12:00AM (#367862)
It is obvious in retrospect never at the time. Like shorting financial stocks three months ago (or yahoo) for that matter. If they knew, they would have acted differently.
Re:Yang To Step Down As Yahoo CEO on Monday November 17, 2008 @11:43PM (#367849)
Any next CEO is still a crap shoot that could drive the final nail into Yahoo. All these *ssholes are ready to kick a man when he's down, but I have yet to read ANY good suggestion for turning around Yahoo. Yang just got caught in the perfect storm. How many of you geniuses sold you 401k before the crisis. I've seen stocks drop 80% and bounce back completely before, I didn't remember people lynching the CEO like this.
