There is plenty of water around São Paulo, the problem is the infrastructure to use it.

Nothing teaches productivity better than being a participating parent.
The article is light on details but I don't think they are proposing a debate anwsering questions or presentation. I would rather have the presentarion, and I would even allow them to have a one page note with outlines.

Do you pay for their sync or self host? If self host, what do you use?
Re:Route leak incident on January 22, 2026 on Friday January 23, 2026 @05:58PM (#46739157)
I am not very familiar with Juniper config, but this phrase summarizes it well. "This means we (AS13335) took the prefix received from Meta (AS32934), our peer, and then advertised it toward Lumen (AS3356), one of our upstream transit providers. " basically you should not receive a prefix from an eBGP session ( different AS) and advertize to an eBGP session. As they mention at the next steps, good use of communities could help avoiding it, in case of other misconfigurations.

I think you could know the state of the peers and simulate what they advertise and receive and validate that. The test unit would need to be a simulated router that behaves exactly as the real one, I actually think its technically doable with tight version control for routers.
Re:Ask HN: What are people doing to get off of VMware? on Sunday October 19, 2025 @07:24PM (#45638920)
Openstack second wind was definitelly not on my 2020s bingo card. But I agree kvm solutions have a lot of momentum.
If successfull it could slow progression, and with better detection eventually greatly reduce the impact. Of course the whole thing could not happen, but i don't think we can say it will not happen right now.
Re:SmolBSD – build your own minimal BSD system on Tuesday October 14, 2025 @06:45PM (#45585937)
I was thinking about the smallest ssh server possible, and this looks interesting. I will try it later.

You should have a print screen

They seem to be pushing their message now as an easy way to integrate AI to workflows.
Coming from a family that has cattle and dairy cows in south eastern Brazil, where screwworm is endemic, I was surprised when I listened to a podcast about screwworm, and some of the descriptions about how huge the problem was in the US. After some research it appears it affects more climates that are always hot and humid, and big operations where the animals are not being checked frequently. Also the handling at the 60s was probably much worse than modern techniques for avoiding animals being hurt and treating when they are infected.
It matches my timeline, as I just finished the last season.
I have been using ubuntu cloud image with cloud-init to achieve something similar, but will try this method as well.
Meta's main use of AI is in their own products, I don't think they should be affected. I would be more worried about companies that want to sell AI models and are not being efficient.

Remindes me of someone I met a long time ago that had the Zeppelin last name, and could not use on Facebook because and agreement between Facebook and the band Led Zeppelin blocked it.
I was not defending it or saying it was stable. And I believe what you said is true about the weakness, but the fact is that the life of this project was still shortned by someones actions.
A bank run. Their system relied on having a stable coin pegged to the dolar. Someone with deep pockets did a speculative attack that broke the peg and it started a bank run.
If I plug my s24 to my dock, I can use it with my big screen, most apps don't have a problem with this mode.
Re:Bookish Diversions: Do Audiobooks Count? on Sunday March 03, 2024 @10:54AM (#39581623)
One example that I enjoyed listening was The Count ot Mount Cristo. The story is long, it boring a lot of times, but a good narrator with good French pronunciation makes it more enjoyable. And being able to phase out during the boring parts is a good feature.
I like it, a lot of what I listen to today I learned about through discovery. But I use YouTube music, any plan to support it?
This looks great, I was actually thinking about something similar for breathing exercises, and being able to share the routines via the URL. You have achieved it and more.
On this case of the Aedes Aegypti in the Americas, should not even be a big consideration whether to exterminate or not, since it's an invasive species from Asia.
Re:Delhi man gets AliExpress order after four years on Sunday June 25, 2023 @08:54AM (#36467726)
AliExpress has this quality of being a surprise gift for your future self. You buy stuff, forget about it, and then one day receives a pleasant surprise. This only works with cheap stuff you don't mind a lot, if it's too expensive you risk just being anxious for a long time.
Don't forget about SPACs that are no better than a lot of shitcoins.
For essays certainly would be good, could even be better If multiple people read it and give independent feedback.
Re:Fed Guy: SVB was particularly poorly run on Monday March 20, 2023 @08:23PM (#35240841)
It was badly run, the main job a bank have is to manage it's risk. They did a bad job at managing risk.
I agree, and I would add the Iranian drones also add to this new facet of war equipment. The really cheap, effective and hard to deal.
Re:Goiânia Accident on Thursday February 02, 2023 @02:58PM (#34632169)
I think statistics do not support this fear. This is in Brazil that probably has been running thousands of this equipments over decades, with this one significant incident. Also runs two nuclear power plants and enriches uranium locally without any relevant incident. I think this irrational fear of atomic poses more danger because it's something we need , oil kill much more people and renewables alone won't cut it. Even Brazil that runs a lot of hidro eventually needs to run fossil fuel thermoelectric because of low volume of rains.
