Re:We are barely halfway done on Tuesday August 18, 2015 @10:38AM (#10079397)
Well that's because he paid $4,000 for it.
Re:Despite privacy concerns, CISPA passes in the House on Thursday April 18, 2013 @02:16PM (#5572146)
I think he will veto it to assert his dominance when his threats to veto are not taken to heart. That or he was bluffing again.
Re:Introducing Roku 3 on Wednesday March 06, 2013 @02:01PM (#5333067)
Thanks for correcting me, that's pretty neat stuff.
Re:Introducing Roku 3 on Tuesday March 05, 2013 @11:07PM (#5329254)
Thanks to the Bluetooth remote. So obvious, I'm surprised this hasn't been done before.
Re:Introducing Roku 3 on Tuesday March 05, 2013 @10:57PM (#5329231)
Love my Roku 2 XS. It's a little slower than I'd like so I'm jumping on this immediately.
Re:The new SimCity on Tuesday March 05, 2013 @09:54PM (#5329054)
The article's title is" Bigger, Better, Even More Crazily Addictive"

So, have they ever played any other SimCity games?

That might even be a better point than I made.
Isn't the point of "barely legal teens" that they are indeed legal? On what grounds can they delete discussions of legal content?
Re:Mojang's Monster Profits on Friday February 01, 2013 @02:05PM (#5152662)
Noticed that and was glad to see I wasn't the only one. Was it done by an admin? If it was, they need to take a cue from reddit admins.
Re:Bitcoin hits year-high of $20 on Thursday January 31, 2013 @11:34AM (#5145765)
Your title isn't clear, and it's not even February yet, so I assume you meant "over the last year".
The ability to fluidly fire off your website address is just as important as the actual name itself. You fumbled twice in a row, my friend.
Re:Introducing the Parse Windows 8 SDK on Thursday October 25, 2012 @05:24PM (#4699648)
I've never used Parse before, haven't really needed it, but I just bought a Surface and have my developer license ready to go. Time to have a stab at it tomorrow night.
Re:Why is Tweetbot for Mac $20? on Thursday October 18, 2012 @08:52PM (#4671781)
So you didn't objectively weigh the reasons it is worth your money, at all? You are the worst kind of user.
Re:Reddit's Moral Low Ground on Thursday October 18, 2012 @10:25AM (#4668880)
I'm a moderator of a couple subreddits, and I don't see a problem with how Reddit administrators reacted to the situation. Perhaps I am the minority but I believe that Reddit's hands-off approach is the only reason the community thrives.
Re:Re: Hello from Google on Wednesday October 10, 2012 @11:40AM (#4636800)
HN is just turning into submissions of drivel. This time by a narcissistic code hipster who think part of having a good career involves telling everyone how hardcore you are because you turned down an interview at Google.
Re:Be nice to programmers on Tuesday October 09, 2012 @12:14PM (#4632348)
This is awfully melodramatic drivel. If you don't like what you are doing then stop doing it.
I don't understand why this exists when SickBeard is much better and is written in Python with a web interface so it's platform independent.
Re:Named Parameters in Java on Friday August 10, 2012 @10:19AM (#4366253)
I use named parameters in csharp, and they are nice, but they're not worth all that extra effort. The code is now much more confusing.
Not really applicable to me it seems. I commute across the Twin Cities in Minnesota in about 50 minutes but it wouldn't even calculate my times due to it being "well over 60 minutes" which is the max the filter will apply. How useful can you expect this to be, since commuting times can vary wildly even if you begin your commute 10 minutes earlier?
Re:GitHub for Windows on Monday May 21, 2012 @03:26PM (#4004454)
There are several, they just don't get much attention these days.
Re:GitHub for Windows on Monday May 21, 2012 @03:19PM (#4004413)
Airspace issues have been the bane of my existence until WPF3.5sp1. D3DImage! Side note -- I also advocate Caliburn.Micro, it's great!
Re:Hello world in every programming language on Sunday April 29, 2012 @03:57AM (#3905449)
Missing F#.

printfn "Hello World"

Re:Introducing Google Drive... yes, really on Tuesday April 24, 2012 @03:21PM (#3885850)
Can't tell if you're referring to box.com or dropbox.com.
Re:Viral Video About Body Scanners on Thursday March 08, 2012 @12:15PM (#3680573)
I've never believed something less than the words in this blog post.
