Meaning better that there is no alternative?

Interesting. I guess open source is not as dependable as it used to be

Harness is the key. I built my own to "talk" our institutional knowledge and it's working great

Same for me, with Claude Opus/Sonnet. All the models are almost equivalent if well steered
Re:DeepSeek V4 Pro 0813 on Wednesday August 12, 2026 @06:21PM (#49279387)
I am still on Opus 4.8, with a custom built harness and it works very well even on multi-repos, across stack, deep changes. I also have a very solid test suite which is helping the coding agent a lot

I guess your bubble is limited. Maybe you know that already?
Re:Are we offloading too much of our thinking to AI? on Tuesday July 14, 2026 @01:47PM (#48910507)
But the AI would not be able to perform live on a stage, producing emotions. I can't imagine staying 3 hours in a crowded room looking at a robot or a computer screen, even if it produces great music. Or if we get to that point, what gives the right and permission for humans to exist anymore?
Re:Are we offloading too much of our thinking to AI? on Tuesday July 14, 2026 @01:39PM (#48910378)
What if the original idea/concept was from a human, who used an LLM to extend and write the book?

Re:OpenAI hit with lawsuit by Florida AG over AI risks on Monday June 01, 2026 @04:53PM (#48362492)
Florida could then be sued because a doctor didn't stop a pregnancy that killed the mother

Not different than YouTube or Reddit
We should also be cautious to not characterize an article we don't like as slop
As a human, I relate to a few of the article's points. You might not have felt it yet. It will come sooner than you might think
Managers are also losing their jobs
I would venture that you are able to live this life because others are not. What if everyone was growing their own food, and fixing plumbing: who would be a doctor, a snowboard maker, making phones/internet that we rely on to plan/communicate/learn. Its almost impossible to do everything by yourself, unless we go back to the life of our hunting ancestors
If the US stopped getting into futile wars, the world would be very different
Re:Belgium stops decommissioning nuclear power plants on Friday May 01, 2026 @04:49AM (#47972550)
It follows Europe's energy policies (declaring nuclear climate-friendly). France is ahead of the US when it comes to civil nuclear plants strategy.

GOP capitalism at its worst: take public money and give it to private interests, without any thoughts of what makes sense.
Voted for what? More pollution, more expensive gas, more expensive electricity??
Hello to myself for prosperity
What is this obsession with winning? Are you so scared?
When a country leader says "another country leader won't last without my approval", he becomes an imperialist driven by power and money
Not according to the 30k Oracle employees, or Block, ... Wealth is only increasing for the top 0.1%. Milk (and other commodities) are still more expensive than in 2020. Young people's unemployment rate is way higher
Maybe, but let's say the same person was playing with a gun. Would they reach the same outcome? Most likely
Agree. Next question will be: should a blind person drive a self-driving car?
Android in the 90s Not really
Re:ICE using Palantir tool that feeds on Medicaid data on Sunday January 25, 2026 @06:42PM (#46759883)
I wouldn't be surprised that Trump goes one step further. He is so unleashed, and irrational. This guy is a liability for humanity
