What was he named in other years?

While I do recognize the truth behind your words, I genuinely have to ask: if they were stupid and/or selfish enough to have thought the Leopards Eating Faces group would not in fact eat their faces, do we want their help? If they betrayed or were duped before, who's to say they won't in the future?
Re:Ask HN: Which TV do you recommend for privacy? on Monday November 02, 2026 @02:07AM (#50333918)
But I have zero interest in using Apple services though.

A lot of people are saying to not connect an ethernet cable to the TV, but what about if I want to connect the TV to LAN for my Jellyfin server?

Do they have a free tier?
Re:Archive Of Our Own down for maintenance for 2 to 4 weeks on Friday October 30, 2026 @09:55PM (#50312506)
I too prefer reading on AO3 over FFN because AO3 allows me to export stories as epub so I can then read them on my eink reader. :-)
Re:How Do You Take a Picture of a Black Hole? on Friday October 30, 2026 @03:29PM (#50309018)
Ah, okay, thanks for explaining! Yeah, I don't know LaTeX. Haha.
Re:How Do You Take a Picture of a Black Hole? on Friday October 30, 2026 @03:15PM (#50308849)
Genuine question: why did you out $ signs next to the formula? I normally only see those put next to variable names.
Re:Proton goes all in on using AI on Friday October 30, 2026 @03:12PM (#50308806)
Hey thanks I'll check it out!

--- EDIT: Ohhhhhh apparently it's paid-only. Yeah, I would pay for a decent email service, but I'm poor, so I can't afford that... Thanks, anyway!

You know any decent alternative? I have a Tuta address, but sometimes emails don't arrive.
I would say their point still stands.

Whether the bill was passed is ultimately irrelevant.

Another thing I can't stand is that I swear tooltips have decreased in frequency compared to 10 years ago.
Thank you.
What is an MBP?
Re:Pirating the Pirates on Monday September 28, 2026 @07:39PM (#49885994)
How are the blaster bolts different? I'm genuinely surprised I never noticed...
Thanks!
Do you have a source? I'd love to read more. :)
Damn, sheep were cheap back then.

Those trees are mean! D:
Jesus Christ on a pogo stick, execution for stealing 12 pence worth of stuff? That's crazy! Adjusting for inflation[1][2], that would be the same as nowadays being executed for stealing £5!

[1] According to https://www.bankofengland.co.uk/education/education-resource..., 12 pence (1 shilling, or 1/20 of a pound)) in the old £sd system is equal to 5 pence (or £0.05) in the later decimal system.

[2] According to https://www.bankofengland.co.uk/monetary-policy/inflation/in..., £0.05 (decimal) in 1832 would be equivalent to £5.02 in 2026 Aug.

What is the confusion here? Like it or not (and I definitely don't like it), most people use Chrome.

I love your username. /)
Re:The American Religion of Self-Storage Facilities on Friday September 18, 2026 @03:18PM (#49758922)
Ah. Fair enough. Haha.

And rarely. There is unfortunately a dirth of trees in my area since I live in a small farming town.

Re:The American Religion of Self-Storage Facilities on Thursday September 17, 2026 @04:55PM (#49746439)
Yeah, those are good points I hadn't really thought of much. Thanks! I guess it's less of a priority for me because I bought my car for $1000 and it came with Michigan rust already. Lol.
Re:The American Religion of Self-Storage Facilities on Thursday September 17, 2026 @04:52PM (#49746400)
That's surprising. I once tried an automated car wash just to see what all the hullabaloo was about and I think the rain actually does a better job. Worst $5 I've ever spent...
Re:The American Religion of Self-Storage Facilities on Thursday September 17, 2026 @04:48PM (#49746354)
Where do you live? I live in the Midwest (SE MI) and when there's rain it tends to be medium-to-heavy rain and with wind so sideways.
Re:The American Religion of Self-Storage Facilities on Thursday September 17, 2026 @04:00PM (#49745758)
I personally don't get car washes. I just wait for it to rain. Then free car wash...
Re:How Poor People Buy Cars on Sunday September 13, 2026 @06:38PM (#49689463)
Damn that's a big difference!
