ah, nevermind. 3 engines seem cheaper overall too: 7x661s vs 5x1200s of allocated H100 time per step. Nice.

what did gpu hours look like here? with 3 replicas for a 1.8x speedup, the cost tradeoff isn’t obvious.

Hey, DVC maintainer here.

Thanks for giving DVC a try!

With snap, you need to use `--classic` flag, as noted in https://dvc.org/doc/install/linux#install-with-snap Unfortunately that's just how snap works for us there :(

Regarding the pull error, it simply looks like you don't have some credentials set up. See https://dvc.org/doc/user-guide/data-management/remote-storag... Still, the error could be better, so that's on us.

Feel free to ping us in discord (see invite link in https://dvc.org/support). I'm @ruslan there. We'll be happy to help.

Thanks, Ruslan

Re:Ask HN: Has working remotely harmed your career growth? on Sunday December 24, 2017 @02:58AM (#15998535)
Never spent a day working at the office. Been working for ~5 years, then switched to freelance\consulting. It is 100% true that remote positions really impact your networking, so you have to compensate by attending conferences as much as possible. However, it also makes you a lot more independent which forces you to look for other opportunities such as independent consulting and possibly creating your own business, which, in my opinion, is a good thing.

So yeah, remote work definitely harms your career growth in terms of an employee, but also enables you to discover other opportunities, which improves your personality.

You are saying it like if 'goto' was a bad thing. This is pretty normal for any kernel/system projects.
