These are the worst symbols though.

Would be amazing to have an npm module instead of a bunch of dart code.
Re:Data scientists shouldn't use Upwork on Thursday July 11, 2019 @04:06PM (#20415264)
A lot of people from India on there posting dumb jobs. Though, dumb jobs can come from anywhere. It takes hours of sifting to find real offers. Most people want you to solve climate change for $1k or build their amazing idea they haven't thought through. It's a dumpster fire but there are real offers on there. With data science, you have to stress that it is research. You can only give probabilities, there's a chance it never works as you suspected or you don't come to a conclusion.
Nice looking roads are more important than the internet?
Everyone knows Comcast is shady af. Good to see the FTC step up after years of FCC letdown.
Re:Google removed my ads-free app for “deceptive ads” on Monday March 25, 2019 @11:25PM (#19489046)
Similar happened to us, they want to keep the traffic in their platform so they want for tricky behavior, confusing buttons, ect. Pretty anal about getting constant updates to games, makes it impossible for small companies to survive.
Re:What Happened to the 100000 Hour LED Bulbs? on Wednesday February 06, 2019 @12:03PM (#19096996)
It's no problem to get 50,000 hour LED bulb but you going to pay $10+ for each one. Mainly due to the metal heat sink. American companies are still machining blocks of metal. The Chinese adapted other heat sink technologies to make thinner heat sink fins, when combined do the same with less materials. I'm pretty sure the next leap will come from LCD scale LEDs combined into bigger arrays which require even less for cooling since they can be printed onto various materials.
Re:TensorFlow.js: Machine Learning for the Web and Beyond on Monday February 04, 2019 @04:32PM (#19080845)
I am a huge fan TFJS. I have used it in one project and hope to use it again. Having TF compatible neural nets in the browser and inside Node, it's a game changer. Google was smart to buy Deepmind.
Re:The Race to Relearn Hemp Farming on Saturday January 12, 2019 @12:44AM (#18889907)
The hemp flowers are good, cbd is interesting. We did a small experiment using hemp as replacement for tobacco. There is very little psychoactive components. The difference is that it smokes like a dream. When the user runs out though, tobacco cravings come back full swing. It could become a good harm reduction technique for tobacco/vaping users. Still the production is just starting in my state, so it's rare and expensive.
Re:Announcing unlimited free private repos on Monday January 07, 2019 @06:56PM (#18851578)
I canceled my subscription, $7 for a UI to a git server. It was kind of lazy tax on individuals.

What bothers me is that this move didn't seem as well planned and prepared for than previous changes, not a good sign. github has a certain flow, hope MS doesn't destroy that.

I remember when usb bitcoin miners started the asic trajectory in crypto. I don't think nascent is the right word.
Re:Aether – Free, privacy-sensitive public communities on Saturday November 03, 2018 @11:05PM (#18373903)
I tried it, it didn't work. Sorry
Search the CGP section, that blew my mind and it has become more rare these days. Reminds me of Nexus, a science fiction book.
Re:Is There a Cryptocurrency Bubble? Just Ask Doge on Sunday September 17, 2017 @09:06AM (#15269419)
There is a bubble some where. Looking at the total supply of bitcoin and the current maximum of 21 million, bitcoin's inflation is slowing while fiat inflation is growing exponentially. Expect more big waves and mass capital flight as currency transitions into the crypto economies.
Re:America’s dental-health divide on Saturday May 13, 2017 @01:21PM (#14331980)
I resell a lot of dental equipment. The tools are incredibly cheap now and the composites are becoming increasingly more advanced and easy to use. It's all coming from China where things have become deregulated. Also, aligners are now made using machine learning, so those are more affordable than ever. Basically, the tech is there but the regulation in US is lagging as always.
Re:Soylent Closes $50M Series B Round Led by GV on Thursday May 04, 2017 @02:38PM (#14267490)
As a person who has researched Soylent, I would not describe it as cheap or healthy. Most of the people with opposing opinions seem to think it's a magic weight loss supplement. In reality, the properties that cause weight loss seem to be the low quality ingredients.
Sure, why not. Give us a master list with all the things.
Typical node being ninja stealth. I guess not technically a language on it's own. https://github.com/nodejs/node

Imagining is the easy part if you ask me. What would you do, if you could program your own mind? My first app would probably be some more manual control over the body. Sure would be nice to have a 75 bpm in a stressful situation.
