I was raised in the complete opposite way and I could not disagree more. That’s what religious people want you to believe, but if you watch how they act, how they vote, and how they discriminate it could not be farther from the truth.

It’s a refuge for indoctrination, meaning you aren’t allowed to truly question. In my experiences at many Christian churches across the US, the people there don’t care about introspection or intellectual debate. Everyone already “knows” their religion is correct and is not actually willing to challenge that because it’s scary.

I know you just said “religion,” but I can only speak about Christianity as I’m deeply familiar with it. I believe Christianity is mostly horrible for society and celebrate every year as I see the numbers drop. It’s slowly dying in every developed country because it doesn’t make sense when logic and science are applied.

It’s fairly common in the US at hotels and some parking garages, especially in bigger cities.

It can be nice if you’re in a hurry or worried about walking alone in a parking garage at night.

But yes, it can be annoying, especially because you’re expected to tip them in the US too.

I’ve honestly had great luck through LinkedIn and directly on company websites.
