I'm not the most versed with networking or operating systems but I wonder how difficult it would be to program a raspberry pi to poison the datasets of these types of things.
Program it to impersonate a wide set of devices and randomly respond as such in a home. Or even if it would be worth it.
Maybe if a phone app could do it too that would make it easy to poison the dataset only when you purchase new smart devices while they do their heavier reconnaissance during the first few weeks (assuming Keurig and the like calm down a bit after some period of time).

Not OP but Mac doesn't support daisy chaining via display port alt mode over usb-c. It's a little ridiculous cause a hackintosh does so we know that they can support it. I assume they don't because it drives sales of their absurdly priced monitors.

Is this a new development with namecheap? I currently have a domain with them that is set up with let's encrypt.
I haven't touched my site in a long time now but visiting it now shows https.

Re:A final proposal for Rust await syntax

If I'm not mistaken you couldn't have ever had 'await' as a field name because it's a reserved keyword.
You can still use it by using the raw string syntax r# and that disambiguates when you access it to because it would be called like: expression.r#await
