Oh no, I forgot to donate! Sorry, Jimmy!

On the right, you can play and record compositions.

When I tried opening someone's saved song in Firefox, the Play button did nothing. But it worked in Chrome.

Re:Google's Python style guide on Thursday April 19, 2012 @02:33AM (#3861707)
Wait, I thought Python WAS a style guide.
Yeah, I never realized he was the same guy that made Karateka. Played the crap out of that back then.

I still remember Time Zone, that multi-floppy time-traveling graphic/text adventure.

And Swashbuckler! And Aztec! (Nerd boner.)

Condolences to all involved.
Re:Audacity 2.0 Released on Saturday March 17, 2012 @05:15AM (#3716704)
Audacity doesn't attempt to be a fully-featured DAW. It does what it does, and it does it nicely. Not sure you can compare it to the others with a straight face. If you're recording a podcast, I'm sure it's fine.

Reaper's license only costs $225 for full commercial use exceeding $20,000 in revenue. Otherwise it's $65 for the exact same software. Not a bad deal at all.

Re:Interesting Windows Desktop UI Concept on Saturday February 25, 2012 @06:37PM (#3634211)
Agreed. I like this visually, but the title is misleading.

I don't see a new "UI Concept" here.

I also believe baby humans pass on a parasite that influences the parent to take and share voluminous photos and to regard every ounce of vomit from the child as a work of genius. This merits further study.

I would put that About info at the bottom of the page. It tells me nothing I want to know, and only confused me as to what the project was about.
Re:MusicForProgramming(); on Friday February 03, 2012 @05:15PM (#3549323)
I used to be able to dev to any kind of music or talk, but it's gotten harder as I've gotten older. Sometimes I try to pick music that culturally matches the web site I'm working on.

- Classical: sometimes pleasant, but can be too dramatic. - Hard electronic (dance, club, dubstep): too distracting

Minimal or ambient techno tends to be way to go when I'm trying to focus on something, but need something to keep that part of my mind occupied. Soma.FM and Digitally Imported have the best streaming stations for that, IMHO.

Re:Android Malware May Have Infected 5 Million Users on Saturday January 28, 2012 @05:54AM (#3521801)
Look, downloading any app starting with "Sexy girls" is stupid to begin with.

You can sit on the sidewalk and watch them and not get a virus, if you keep your hands to yourself.
