Oh, that's just great. It'll turn into a juvenile delinquent tree, hiding behind other trees to leap out and scare unsuspecting hikers.
As is throwing your wife under the bus when you get challenged.
That trailer music is on-point.
Out of curiosity, why is the cleaning fee not included into the rental rate? Is it required to be listed separately or does that simplify accounting somehow?
Is this a Monty Python scene about sacking people?
If the article doesn't appear, try hitting refresh … ?
But are we actually seeing those results or are people just burning 10x more money?
What I'm not seeing is news promoting how we're suddenly doing 10x better in any aspect of our daily lives, nor 6x or 4x or even 2x better. You'd think if we were suddenly getting 10x more productive, even if it was never published in the news, we'd see something, anything that affected our lives in a positive manner.
We're not.
Or at least, I'm not. And a lot of other people seem to be in the same boat.
We aren't suddenly seeing 10x the software output that these 10 joyful people are producing. I think it's more likely that 10x people are suddenly trying to figure out a way to low-effort scam money with AI. And a few of those people have teamed up with VC's to make AI products to scrape the bottom of the pond for desperate suckers looking to scam money. There's 10x the headaches for existing projects that suddenly have to deal with low-effort bugreps from people looking to show that they are now "expert software engineers" because they can write "go find the bugs in Project X" and an AI will possibly do that.
There are some interesting things being built by AI, but 10x the number of joyful software engineers ain't it.
Proof that our administration fails to understand the technology at a fundamental level.
The writer probably had to have a private moment when she realized she could use this title.
> Only dub media you have the rights to, and only clone voices with the consent the use requires. A dub made from someone else's film or voice is for private use unless you have permission.
I wonder how long that will last?
So that leaves, what? Muse? Grok?
Muse is run by Zuckerberg, which is a red flag. Grok is run by a racist.
I guess I could go with the Chinese models - I'm not working on anything dangerous.
> How you gunna jail an AI?
You don't - you shut them down and jail whoever ultimately allowed the act to happen.
If there's a mandatory tip, that's a fee, not a tip.
If I were a younger man and in better health, I’d seriously consider going to China. Obviously, there are some downsides to living there, but I’d like to think I could have overcome them.
If the US imposes this charge, they will go somewhere else. Europe, maybe. China, maybe. We won't get the immediate benefit of their work like we do now. This will kill some graduate programs and constrain a lot of others. It is hard to see any positive benefits from this move.
If I were China, I'd move on this aggressively. If I were any country with a strong interest in STEM, I'd do the same. In fact, just the mention of this action should spur a somewhat aggressive response.
Personally, I feel a bit nervous, given that it's RFK, Jr. in ultimate charge of the CDC and here's me, without access to any raccoon meat or whale ejaculate or whatever the hell he decides will treat this thing. That guy is clownshoes and so are most of his closest advisors. And yes, it's partisan and I'm fine with that.
OH HELL NO! It's software, not a living being. End discussion.
That's going to be a hard sell to service providers who rely on people basically ignoring overspend.
Somewhere, an exec is looking at this game as a how-to manual.
Except for that German guy, what’s-his-name …
The hardware is harder to replace, but payment systems aren’t intrinsically tied to the operating systems, yet, except for encryption , which is handled on-device.
I don’t
think I’m Neurodivergent, but I hate long sleeves, too. And short sleeves, I like long sleeve shirts with the cuffs rolled or pushed up to the elbows.
Side-effect of being very tall and outgrowing shirts quickly as a youth.
I was going to say that if we're asking AIs for voting advice, we might as well just shut off the lights on human civilization.
But then I remembered I'd trust the Salvadore Dali of AIs before I trusted Ted Cruz.
I think I have most of a roll of Forever stamps I bought almost 10 years ago (which shows how often I mail a physical letter)*. I'm guessing that was a wise investment due to inflation.
* Which is also probably the last time I was in an actual Post Office.
Yes.
Alternately, you can bribe/buy enough legislators to get them to enact laws allowing/requiring pay-as-you-go plans, but if you have the money to do that, you might as well just form a company so you can do it at scale.
The person who ordered it or allowed it?
Seems pretty simple to me.
How much control over the AI does the end user have? Can I direct the AI in any way I choose (ie., tell it do "evil" of some sort)?
It probably doesn't matter. Global warming has proven that we are incapable of doing the necessary things to slow or stop the human-caused decaying of our planet. I'm starting to think we deserve what we're gonna get.
