The moon or Mars makes more sense. There is zero reason to have these in LEO, they are tied to ground stations any way you shake it.

This allows them to better fingerprint users for advertising. Anything else is just smokescreen. More and more sites are doing this for just that reason.

They made a pension plan that relied on people having more kids and not getting jobs outsourced, then they didn't ahve kids and got outsourced.

Then there is the whole "they literally never decolonized out of africa" just to keep the economy going this long and that is unable to be exploited like in the past.

They cut the kid's programs to the bone and the kids told them in the most french way possible that that was bad. Inequality has been worse than 1789 for years now.

That's why we'll get laptops with hbm installed

They don't have anyone who fights for the consumer. They just make things and rename it all the time. No one knows what their thing is called today

Re:Nvidia and Micron Make Up 34% of America's Earnings Boom on Thursday October 29, 2026 @02:26PM (#50293693)
Looks like they have bumped it up to 6 years, which completely turns around from completely unprofitable quarters to profitable

Almost, the depreciation is 2 years, but for some reason they wrote it up like 5 for now. But anyone buy nvdia chips is already maxxed out on debt for the next 5 years and the new chips are here shortly. What happens to those 100's of billions in chips?? They get written off. We're already seeing them in cars. There is no shortage except on the scrutiny of the whole securities thing.
Their education was severely lacking
Maybe a company that is both a complete monopoly chaebol and running the country is a bad thing
Re:Who Pays for AI Data Centers? on Saturday October 24, 2026 @03:23PM (#50224256)
When they move into our communities, they offload taxes by paying nothing, they increase our utility rates so we can fund the infrastructure build out so they don't have to. And when they need more, they kick entire communities off of the grid like lake Tahoe. The Utah DC starts at 2GW, the entire state only uses 7GW, but the DC will go up to 9GW. So the taxpayers pay for it all and eventually lose their access. There is zero reason to have these in your state.
And the Canadian power companies have used all that excess profit to buy up US power compiles. Rinse and repeat
like 5 gpus?

There are so many open wells left behind from the 50's on. The federal gov't pays to fix them, but they can't do anywhere what they need to do. They should charge the fees upfront with drilling permits
Newt got rid of the technology office that advised congress in the 90's. The internet is just a series of tubes to these guys in their 80's.

Only because the US went insane and tried to build too much, which will not be built and we'll see HBM repurposed into consumer gear
