Two things that won’t happen as the government is very scared of making things uncomfortable for the ones that would see the value in their houses go down.

Because that is what would happen.

Structural rasism is the term you are looking for.
Good for Australia and New Zeeland. But the ones that had dropped the deposit on a cyber truck can they really be allowed to handle their own economy?
> And if only the people who own AI will be able to produce things, then why would they give us any power or leverage in the economy?

Nailed it! It’s a too powerful resource to be privately held.

The problem with AI if compared to capitalism is that we start where the same players that won capitalism starts as winners and the rest of us cannot enter the race.

AI is not a ”fair” resource. Normal people cannot compete. We can rent capacity of the ones owning the data centres. But we will never have access to the best models. Never be able to afford outbound data centres. We can at any moment lose access to the resource. And the ones controlling the resource will be in control of everything. And it will be privately held. Fantastic.

They have a valid point. The social media companies don’t seem to care as long as the accounts drives traffic. Report an obvious troll, bot, porn, hate speech account and you get the report back that they didn’t find anything problematic.

If the human part of climate change wasn’t true and the fossil fuel industry’s wasn’t the culprit it would’ve been proven by now. It is very unlikely that the fossil fuel industry that is so rich and powerful wouldn’t have proven it by now.

The planet is greener, I guess that you are pointing to; Nature Climate Change, 2016, Zhu et. al. where the authors of the study have warned that erroneous conclusions would be taken from the study.

Rising cost of fuel must be a very good reason to invest in renewable sources, like solar and wind.

The red herring, paper straws, why mention that? It is just some shit that is created to keep ”common people” distracted from the real problem.
