Re:Postico – A modern PostgreSQL client for OS X on Friday February 20, 2015 @07:53AM (#9080196)
In 15 years of database centric roles, it's certainly the most beautiful SQL client I have used, so bravo for that. (Currently in Sybase hell, so switching to playing with this when I get home is a real joy.) I don't use Postgres outside of that of a hobbyist, but I'll be certainly trying it out where I can. Thanks!

Re:Italian bank's almost risk-free cash-for-cheese loan on Thursday February 19, 2015 @08:18AM (#9073820)
It was a light hearted piece of humor where a bank accepts an object for collateral. You know that, of course, but comments like that make you feel special I suppose.

Cool, will check, thanks.

Despite the clunky UI, I've found that www.sql-ex.com provides the best medium to tricky problems for those wanting a refresher. (MS T-SQL centric.)

Indeed, something people forget sometimes leading to collation problems in the (odd) instance when CS is set.
Re:Does Gentrification Cause a Reduction in Laundromats? on Wednesday February 04, 2015 @10:17AM (#8997223)
Ah, yes, absolutely true... The bodega is a lot easier to retool into an 'Artisan Deli' than say a Laundromat changing over to be a high-end Dry Cleaner.
Re:Does Gentrification Cause a Reduction in Laundromats? on Wednesday February 04, 2015 @05:33AM (#8996141)
Well, sure.

And bodega's, pawn shops, Western Union and check cashing establishments...

This not a jaunt to Korea or Vietnam, holy moly.
Re:Google Is Developing Its Own Uber Competitor on Tuesday February 03, 2015 @04:09AM (#8989469)
Why don't G just _block_ all Uber drivers from utilizing Google Maps, forcing them to an inferior Mapping/Route product, lowering the quality of the Uber experience. (Only Uber'd a few times and I'm sure the drivers had G maps, but I may be wrong, I was surely drunk.)
