> It feels like a lot of churn and not a lot of measurements or engineering.
They are big on shipping slop at lightnigg speed. So this is not surprising. Checkout posts by their ceo on cringedin.
so this an attack on people at those companies that were not laidoff? Butthurt morons.
how come all the examples in demo have wrong answers

> A man in a black shirt and hat with a yellow neckerchief has his hand raised.
no hand raised
> A white sheep sitting on top of a cake.
no its just cake sheep . sheep is not sitting
> A man is standing on the beach while holding his surfboard.
Its not just a man
infact all the examples are wrong.
so models can reveal "advanced" model building secrets ? how?
How is it a secret if everyone has a model that is exactly like the other. Surely there are no secrets
i think thats a very specific subset of ppl consuming technical cotent where ai summary makes sense.
most of youtube is pop content that doesnt make sense to summarize. Because ppl are trying to get entertained not gain knowledge. take a look at top trending videos.
> During REM sleep, the human brain actively simulates scenarios, consolidates emotional/semantic connections, and explores novel neural pathways.
So sick of popsci quoted as real science and a fact. We dont know jack shit about what our brain is doing. Wtf is 'emotional connection' and how do we know brain is consolidating it. eyeroll.
This sleep/dream stuff in ai is beyond cringe.
i am looking for harness that lets me fork sessions in tree and visually support that tree. I know i can fork a session in any harness. But its hard keep track if you go more than one level deep.
I dont know if i am unique here but i often work in exploratory mode where i persue a chain of thought in a specific direction, then backtrack up and go down again arbitrarily.
or maybe google can create paid plans for their search and stop being free
> Techies are getting a glimpse at how other employees have always been treated all along, and they don't like it.
Oh trust me. We knew all along but we always viewed 'other employees' as lower caste deserving of the disdain they get.
One positive outcome of ai coding is that now they have been bought back down to earth with fear of god put in them.
i thought youtube is taking off like crazy due to reduced attention span for tv/movies.
Yep and there is no real demand for slop engineers are producing anyways.
> Are you in India? I somehow doubt Indians in India are deficient.
yes in south india
Me and all my indian friends are deficient in vitamin D . I dont know how those number were calibrated. surely not on Indian population.
lol ok so achieved nothing with all the aiintelligence available to you.
so advanced. What did you achieve since 2024 bro. Still working the same job.
this is your brain on ai twitter :)
i know gates did and got a lot of stds. first i am hearing of bezos doing it.
> In many respects, many of us already have superabundance, in that our basic physical needs are taken care of. Yet we convince ourselves that's not enough and continue to work.
Almost no one is usa has 'enough' to pay for healthcare. My daughter's nicu bill was 750k, which would've easily bankrupted me.
> to some people, food is art, creativity, life to others, food is fuel
right. he is talking about the first group. where did you get the 'shame' part?
I like your analogy. Microwaved empty calories perfectly describes llm output. You are going to pay the price sooner or later.
Wtf is databricks now anyways? Looks like their ceo is hawking cheap chinese models and some silly harness called ominiagent. Anyone use ominiagent?
I thought they were building their own models at somepoint? what happened to that.
Also looks like they did one full round of english alphabet and are on series L second time around. I feel like we might have some a tech theranos on our hands here.
Sunder quoted their tweet in his release announcement. Like that was the main thing he wanted to say.
why do ai bro ridicule anyone who uses the word hallucinate.
i remember it being a valid pitfall with this tech . why is it uncool now to use that word?
> because they love what they do.
mostly inertia and dont know what to do with themselves because they never developed any other part of their personality.
> the ability to represent to other parties that you are using a trusted provider.
so ppl trust ai if its coming from provider X ?
This sounds like bunch of gibberish.
Your comment doesnt answer my question :)
> You were promoted to perm employee a month in.
having to get "promoted" to even get a perm job is not 'exceptional job market'
which interviews are asking these ?
