Re:WTF Ubuntu? on Tuesday November 03, 2026 @04:46AM (#50349957)
Can we please stop giving value on what people / companies / LLMS say?

If there's no documented research or reproducible PoC, you can just ignore it.

Any TV, just don't connect it to the internet
Re:Steal My Bitcoin CTF PoC on Monday October 26, 2026 @10:18AM (#50244150)
Apparently this could only be solved after the challenge added a php file that shows the PID. Which is not public information.

echo 'PID: ' . getmypid();

Not really any news here. Sad WhatsApp took the notes down, there wasn't really a reason to. People assume bad faith though.
Re:Shipping JPEG XL in Chrome on Wednesday October 07, 2026 @08:38AM (#49991928)
Probably why Google implemented their own decoder in Rust

I have zero clue what you are talking about and I use Jetbrains products every day. PHPStorm is still the default IDE for many developers.
Rebuilding cars between sessions is a story as old as racing.

Even in stock car races, where they run those little 1.2 liter cars with 50 on track, they switch engines or rebuild the car, between sessions.

They can completely destroy their car in a heat and have the car ready again by heat 2.

Re:Pi.dev: You Said No MCP on Wednesday September 30, 2026 @10:23AM (#49909432)
What's Pi? Oh an AI agent. Isn't MCP designed for agents? There's still some anti-MCP movement or something?

MCP is just REST with meta data folks. It's all just HTTP and JSON.

100%

You can say naaa fuck it and open Youtube when your friends are over, as well as putting your kids to bed when they're there. It's fine!

LOL, this makes so much more sense now. Cool project!
Really don't understand why, when you use AI, don't code natively but use a transpiled TypeScript runtime (GeaStack)
Re:EU chief opens door for Canada to become 'associate member' on Wednesday September 16, 2026 @07:04AM (#49724755)
EU is looking for strong democracies, while none of your suggestions are
Re:EuroBirdPortal – Live bird movements across Europe on Monday September 14, 2026 @07:10AM (#49694943)
This is unusable
Re:Fable and the End of the Free Lunch on Monday August 24, 2026 @04:12AM (#49416646)
Fable is only marginally better.
Re:Everything I own, owned on Monday August 24, 2026 @03:32AM (#49416325)
It's not. I can place my iPhone next to my trackpad and the MacBook thinks I closed the lid.
Re:Everything I own, owned on Monday August 24, 2026 @03:31AM (#49416314)
Nothing owned.. Maybe the webcam a bit but this is mainly, again, just slop.
0 upvotes too
What a load of bullshit
If the solution was to remove an unused dependency, I think this CVE isn't silly at all.
Re:Don't be a meat proxy on Monday August 03, 2026 @07:11AM (#49154189)
If people say: AI said "X". It usually means you should've asked AI before going to the human.
I just give them smaller tasks
Re:Europe's fires are just the start on Thursday July 30, 2026 @10:37AM (#49110659)
You realize that "green energy" in EU is dependent on gas and/or coal? When there's no wind or sun, we will gladly burn gas or coal, and call it green energy.

Nuclear doesn't have this requirement. It's truly zero carbon.

Unless you can show me plans to fill this gap with batteries on a national scale, renewables < nuclear

To bypass geo-locked content and age restrictions of course. What else???
Re:LLM Honeypot on Thursday July 30, 2026 @03:17AM (#49106943)
What's the clue?
Re:7.1 Earthquake in Japan on Tuesday July 28, 2026 @06:31AM (#49081866)
For anyone that had their heart skip a beat like me:

"The Japanese Nuclear Energy Agency says no damage has been detected at three nearby nuclear power plants."

Re:So Reddit has decided that plain HTML is unsafe on Thursday July 23, 2026 @07:51AM (#49020096)
This is petty. The people who still claiming the old reddit was superior might hold truth, but it's time to move forward. Reddit owes us nothing.

Also you can scrape Reddit with JSON now, which is 10x better than any HTML, safe or unsafe, whatever that means.

Re:Quality non-fiction books are the antithesis of AI slop on Thursday July 23, 2026 @07:11AM (#49019708)
Training AI on AI will most likely increase slop. LLM's add randomness in their outputs, books usually don't.
Moonlight is pretty popular on Chinese gaming handhelds. Was wondering what it was exactly. How is the Android performance vs Linux?
Impossible. WordPress has had the PHP-group even considering writing new PHP features in a separate 7.4 branche and release them specifically for WP.
