You can do it with ufw limit too
Chrome/Linux instead of GNU/Linux?
I do the same thing with the iNatutalist app. I joke with my wife that I'm filling out my Pokedex. Currently at 164 species.
Only if you don't need to create ZIPs over 2GB.
For me it's Pelican and cloudflare pages. I've got a GitHub action that rebuilds the site whenever I commit changes. Completely free. Super fast. Pelican is easy to theme and my site is one of the fastest out there.
Now if only I ever felt like writing anything. It's been five years.
> I can do zero work at my job and I'll get paid regardless? Or they do a super bare minimum, being incredibly unhelpful to everyone and their whole team hates them?
Lots of people already do this.
100% this. We used Google Meet. I had no interest in installing any apps for meetings with external parties.
The wsb file and script to do this might be like 20 lines and doesn't require installing docker.
One of my favorite uses for this is creating .wsb files that would launch a script and install zoom/WebEx/etc so I would not have to install them on my PC. The video and audio worked just well enough for me to get away with and it was easier to screen share what I was doing within the container and avoid sharing anything extra (ex: notifications).
Imo, so many of Microsoft's dark patterns are a direct result of them owning bing. Bing has bad market share, so MS takes every chance they get to show it to users. Start menu web search, Edge defaults, dark patterns abound just to get eyeballs on bing.
Look no further than Debian. After switching from Ubuntu I started to understand why people view Ubuntu as a bit dirty.
I use this to apply geotags to photos/videos from my nice camera. I use GPSLogger on my phone to log the locations. It's very handy.
I had the same issue many years ago. Local ISP said fiber was available at my house. It was not. I reported it. A few months later I noticed they basically carved out my house even though I was quite sure my entire neighborhood was not served.
This is what I expected the article to be about. I would wager a lot of shops don't to the whitelisting. If they wanted to be really intense they could do authenticated origin pulls.
80 char wrapping is solved by format=flowed. However none of the popular providers seem to implement it.
Reminds me of one of my favorite posts from back in 2013: You advocate a ____ approach to calendar reform:
https://qntm.org/calendarSpecifically (omitting a lot for brevity) :
You advocate a
( ) solar ( ) lunar (x) lunisolar
approach to calendar reform. Your idea will not work. Here is why:
(x) solar years are real and the calendar year needs to sync with them
(x) solar days are real and the calendar day needs to sync with them
(x) the solar year cannot be evenly divided into solar days
(x) having one or two days per year which are part of no month is stupid
(x) your name for the thirteenth month is questionable
(x) the solar year cannot be evenly divided into seven-day weeks
Specifically, your plan fails to account for:
(x) rational hatred for arbitrary change
(x) unpopularity of weird new month and day names
and the following philosophical objections may also apply:
(x) good luck trying to move the Fourth of July
(x) the history of calendar reform is insanely complicated and no amount of further calendar reform can make it simpler
Furthermore, this is what I think about you:
(x) sorry, but I don't think it would work
I've had the same install going since January 2012:
> head -1 /var/log/pacman.log
[2012-01-22 14:55] installed filesystem (2011.12-2)
In that time I've converted the install in-place from x86 to x64, migrated from legacy boot to uefi, replaced the entire RAID set twice, motherboards, CPUs, etc. It's my own ship of theseus. Many of these tasks people would say to do a reinstall, but I've always been able to find a guide on the arch wiki to do it in-place without losing anything.
Next time you upgrade, keep the old phone. Have both phones set up so they can do mfa. If you are doing OTP, make sure to use an app that allows you to backup/export. AndOTP is very good if you're an Android guy.
I spent a lot of my youth playing Age of Empires 2 multiplayer on zone.com. It was great for its time.
I use optipng and advdef from advancecomp.
# Linux People
find -iname *.png | xargs optipng -o7
find -iname *.png | xargs advdef -z4i50
# PowerShell People
gci -include *.png | % { optipng -o7 $_ ; advdef -z4i50 $_ }
advdef uses the zopfli or 7-zip compressor for png's deflate compression. If you want to be fancy you can use gnu parallel on linux to parallelize the compression and make the script a one-liner. (I know xargs can do it but I stopped using xargs after adopting gnu parallel). If you're powershell 7+ you add -parallel after %.
If you want to do quantization you can use imagemagick's -colors to reduce to as many as you need. It doesn't even have to be <= 256. You can do say 300, 500, or even 1000 colors. This doesn't allow you to use a palette but fewer colors in a png often make things easier for the compressor to compress well. This is not lossless compression but can work well for simple artwork.
I've had HVAC techs tell me not to use those thick filters unless your system is designed for it. They make the fan work harder to pull less air. This reduces how much air it can move.
One thing that always jumps out to me with photos from "real" cameras is the colors and dynamic range. The film examples (particularly the chickens) have great color and range compared to what I'd expect from a cell phone. Even the Pixel 2 versus dslr.
As I've been learning to shoot on a dslr I've been very impressed with how much modern smart phones are doing for you. Focus, sharpness, and exposure are usually very good with little to no effort.
Factory reset through the Android UI removes the locks and is just like from factory. Factory reset by booting the device to recovery mode does not. That's what FRP is all about.
The Recorder app on Pixel phones offers on-device transcription. I'm not sure if it's available on other phones though.
I know normal people would never use it but I sorely wish there was a way for me to just grep the web instead of using "search" as offered by Google et al.
It was always DNS. Unless you are getting EV the CAs usually verify ownership via email. Email can go anywhere the current MX record in DNS says it goes.
I've had games do this and found it annoying since I like my PC to run in balanced mode. Not so much to save power but to let the machine idle when I'm not using it. Found I could work around it by deleting the power plans other than balanced.
I've never played OP's game, so evidently a few games are out there doing this.
