The fact that someone is willing to pay them that much suggests that your valuation of their labor is not universally shared.

No, they are not.
Exactly. Many countries have switched to an opt-out system for organ donation for this reason.

Most people aren't in the habit of wasting their time making choices about things they don't care about.

So your suggestion is to be a hermit?

What is the point of communication if not to change what others think?

I prefer smaller portions. If you want more, you can always buy two.

The tragedy of the commons is what happens in the unsuccessful systems.

Fun fact: the guy who reported it (Andres Freund) works for Microsoft.

Another fun fact: Moscow is in the same time zone as the Middle East.

It's clearly a joke à la RFC 3514.

Many phones indeed only support USB 2.0. For example the base iPhone 17. The Pro does support USB 3.2, however.

Correct.

Re:FBI is investigating Minnesota Signal chats tracking ICE on Tuesday January 27, 2026 @08:29PM (#46789845)

There is a difference between what you are seeing and what is actually happening.

99.9% of the time they are finding the right people, but "illegal alien was deported" is as interesting a news story as "water is wet".

Approximately nobody uses US coins outside the US. Even in countries where the dollar is widely accepted, trying to use coins will get you weird looks at best.
Or deport them.

That works out to 1.9 million households with only illegal immigrants.

The people who define the rules in France are called "French", not "American".
Your best example of a "historically efficient way to solve political problems" is a 4 year civil war that killed more than half a million people and, after all that, still left African Americans as second-class citizens for a century after?

I wonder what an inefficient way would look like.

And cat. Some people are triggered by useless use of cat.

Excuse me, the law actually states that growing wheat on your own land solely for your own personal consumption is interstate commerce.
There is no loophole. Defendants in the 5th circuit can appeal to the Supreme Court.

That is one of the main roles of the Supreme Court: resolving circuit splits.

Habeas corpus comes from English common law, not Roman law. It was never used in German law.

Latin terms are still used in German legal writing. Just not this one.

Your comment makes no sense. The DoH providers can still log requests and sell them.

DoH protects against intermediaries spying on your requests and potentially forging responses. Exactly the same as HTTPS.

Sending anything in clear text over the internet in 2025 is criminally negligent.
