Stop putting “co authored by” and watermarking code that isnt yours. Youre a tool, and now competitors have better tools that actually do what i want.
Re:Reasons I didn't become an EMT, ranked on Monday October 05, 2026 @10:08AM (#49965109)
Fake. The real reason is - 1. Pay is completely noncompetitive, so low that you make more at walmart.

2. Ambulance costs are predatory, nobody wants an EMT to pick them up

3. Your actual job is not trained, you are expected to do the impossible, and its your fault if you physically cannot.

4. Nobody managing you understands or cares. Its a for-profit scam upheld by liberal politics. They shut out any competition through government corruption.

The only way the fraud stops is when people stop participating. We need 0 EMT’s.

DRM authors and implementors know it doesnt work. The decision is made by people in suits based on traditional business culture that doesnt fit the digital world. The same people making denuvo are also the ones breaking it.
Wine removed 32-bit support, breaking 90% of programs people used it for.
hydrogen sulfide is not anywhere in the same category. When you consider failure you have to consider what is the most catastrophic possibility and if that is “this battery silently kills people” then you dont make it.
Mac doesnt run their spyware, they wont use it.

“reputable scientists” = tax plundered research for purposes of political power. Regardless of human effect it is china doing it.

E.U is replacing their citizens with unvetted violent criminals. They have to vote for whoever gives them free stuff. The powers doing this are upset a company in the U.S allows their citizens to protest it.

Repeal intellectual property law. No more patents. No more owning concepts inherent to physics.
2.4 million times the pressure of earths atmosphere but impressive if true.
Steam DRM is not optional. Thats why launchers dont support it.
Steam, like Origin, is one of the few that refuses to support 3rd party launchers due to DRM. epic and gog both work in heroic launcher. Steam games are no longer usable in systems less than 4GB memory.

Steam has removed all its 32-bit wine compatibility, minimal launcher, and is now no different than any other chromium bloatware. they chose the easiest path and are still struggling to make it work.

Re:ICE agent fatally shoots woman in Minneapolis on Saturday January 10, 2026 @11:43AM (#46567221)
The woman is one of the worst examples of people you could have chosen. her kid (singular) was taken away because their lesbian partner physically abuses the kid. She was left out of her ex husbands funeral because she was crazy and a danger.

She was there to intentionally instigate ice. it was planned, she planned to try to run them over with her car and would have been successfull if it went her way.

Re:ICE agent fatally shoots woman in Minneapolis on Saturday January 10, 2026 @11:40AM (#46567188)
The blue propaganda machine told you what to think, and now that the officers POV was released its clear the woman intended to kill the officer.
Re:ICE agent fatally shoots woman in Minneapolis on Saturday January 10, 2026 @11:37AM (#46567145)
The woman was there intentionally to instigate conflict with ICE. She pulled out infront of them, stopping on the road to get them to try to detain her. you should at least look into the issue before commenting about it.
Re:ICE agent fatally shoots woman in Minneapolis on Saturday January 10, 2026 @11:35AM (#46567131)
As shown by the officers POV, it wasnt evaded. Lies spread faster than the truth.
Re:ICE agent fatally shoots woman in Minneapolis on Wednesday January 07, 2026 @05:02PM (#46533692)
The law is clear - the woman was obviously detained, she decided to attempt fleeing in a vehicle with an officer in their path. just because the officer was quicker right at the end doesn't mean it wasn't an attempt use of deadly force.

Very easy to judge from a video afterwards, you have to consider from the perspective of the officer from other side of the video. They cant see the direction of the tires or play it back frame by frame.

Protests of the officers actions are in reality a call for that officer to be ran over. The woman made the decision to ignore the law, recklessly endanger others, and theres hundreds of cases of precedent for use of force in response to force.

Wether or not the stop was lawful is not relevant - you dont fight it on the streets, you defend it in court. you cannot simultaneously support rule of law and support that those recklessly ignore it.

Venezuala government calls it an invasion. U.S left with the evidence, do we trust the fascist regime of venezuala or the elected president of the U.S?
4GB of that taken by the system. more memory use with runtimes also means more cpu to track and free memory.
Re:Steam Store is offline on Thursday December 25, 2025 @01:50PM (#46386275)
valve has continually had problems with their services. this is because theyre both reliant on other services they dont control, and low quality engineering management. the second leads to the first.
The CCP can hijack your accounts and absolutely do all of those things, using your own government.
Re:Nvidia plans heavy cuts to GPU supply in early 2026 on Thursday December 18, 2025 @09:47AM (#46313249)
AMD will eat their lunch, and are. If AMD can properly replace CUDA, rtx hdr, they could win the market.
Ladybird is playing catch-up with features already done years ago. They can either break compatability, or follow. Theyre following, which makes them yet another dead end.

and, again, riddled with vulnerabilities.

Big tech are doing it on purpose with h1b’s and exportation of labor to capture the market in India and non-china asia. they are desperate and afraid.

The U.S has a national security interest in completely stopping all of it. They dont, because every administration is paid not to.

Regulate tech, ban labor export, ban labor import, protect your countries from the sellout.

Ladybird is a pet project of no relevance to the web. there is no tech advantage, its just as riddled with vulnerabilities. chromium and webkit are the winners. you need a whole new ecosystem to get something different.
1. reskin chromium, or webkit. firefox is dead tech, cannot be used for anything other than firefox, and is no longer a testing target. it is insane to continually play catch-up with companies 1000x the size of your team. V8 is now the standard JS engine, spidermonkey is an insecure time bomb and again not modular.

Brave got it right and then got it wrong with pushing crypto and its buggy.

2. Push for local AI. local tooling is going to get big when we get past the current drought. We need fast reactive systems not dependent on servers. Chatgpt is like gaming on the cloud - its still bad even when its good. Need to learn the meta and understand why people are buying 5090’s just to run agents.

3. Remove everyone that wont follow good engineering or otherwise is using your cashflow as jump. This means no diversity hiring. No h1b’s, no cultural or ethnic political warring. Ignore the fake resumes go for git history only. If its mass firing so be it theres no shortage.

4. youre going to make everyone very upset to get anything of value done.

Re:SoundCloud just banned VPN access on Monday December 15, 2025 @09:31AM (#46275016)
irony is this is posted on reddit, who also blocks VPN’s
in a properly functioning government old unused services must depart for new uses. The NPR and PBS you knew is gone - its completely different people, different management. if people want the idea it represented they have to go elsewhere to find it anyways.
The net got too big, the 90% got in because of facebook and google, and automated bots took over from there.

Either we create the fix, or the feds take it over. we need to sever the idea of a global internet. per-country and allied nations only. anonymous cert-chain verified ID stored on device. problem fixed.

cybersecurity degrees are handed out everywhere to people completely unqualified. universities are scams.
