No, its not. The OP has a different point to make, and its worth a re-read!
Re:Instagram Advertising: Do you know it when you see it? on Tuesday June 25, 2019 @01:12AM (#20271370)
huh, how odd. I've never seen ads on Instagram either, and assumed that was the default experience. I guess the A/B control group gods smiled on us.
A step further, it seems most people's favourite brands tend to be ones which were high quality in the past. Its a rare situation where that quality continues as mass market appeal arrives.
They will if the price of animal products rises.
The technical TLDR is "db level race condition", or the title of the article.
Its not surprising that the doctor suggested those things, as its not really the domain they focus on. If you have bio-mechanical pain, its often better to see a physiotherapist, who can better diagnose the underlying reason and help you resolve it properly.
Re:ZetaSQL – A SQL Analyzer Framework from Google on Tuesday May 21, 2019 @07:51PM (#19976329)

We will also be releasing more documentation over time,
particular related to developing engines with this framework.
Looks like they intend to resolve that.

I think you've misread the OP here; jump back to this guideline as a rule of thumb, its helped me a great deal.

Re:This Place Is Not a Place of Honor (1992) on Monday April 29, 2019 @09:54PM (#19784448)
You could just make the area incredibly radioactive, problem solved!
The underlying assertion (and debate) here is that the value facebook is providing to society is worth the cost.
Re:Airbnb to Acquire HotelTonight on Thursday March 07, 2019 @08:46PM (#19334452)
In this case, its a slap on the wrist for a comment that doesn't positively contribute.
Re:Redesigning GitHub Repository Page on Thursday February 28, 2019 @10:46PM (#19277764)
However, a lions share of the revenue for github will be from developers, rather than "consumers".
Re:Paul Graham on the Transition to Meat Substitutes on Sunday February 24, 2019 @11:29PM (#19242933)
Never is a strong word; especially when people idolise high end athletes that turn to a vegan diet for an edge (i.e. MMA)
Re:I Left a Buddhist Retreat in Handcuffs on Thursday February 21, 2019 @09:43PM (#19222681)
Its hard to follow, but I don't think he was on medication going into the retreat, rather was given anti-psychotics in hospital after. (There was, apparently long ago, a history of mental health issues).
Re:V100 Server On-Prem vs. AWS P3 Instance Cost Comparison on Monday February 18, 2019 @11:40PM (#19196645)
Ah, excellent point, a warranty is something I completely overlooked. Probably some value "lost" doing it yourself due to downtime if something goes wrong, but likely negligible.
Re:V100 Server On-Prem vs. AWS P3 Instance Cost Comparison on Monday February 18, 2019 @10:59PM (#19196479)
I'm inexperienced in the hardware front, would that machine likely not break down under a large load for 3 years straight? Nothing is set aside for hardware failure etc.
Re:MyBrandNewLogo – A 3-step Logo Generator on Wednesday February 06, 2019 @11:44PM (#19103057)
Thanks! The core team working on this is super smart. I'll pass your feedback on pricing to our product manager.

They would like those people to participate in interviewing candidates.

Was thinking much the same; we have a product[1] in the same space, but a much larger inventory, all created by hand. Not sure the "AI" space for design is quite good enough for this price point.

Re:Is ASP.NET Core Now a Mature Platform? on Wednesday December 19, 2018 @05:31AM (#18714681)
We run the core of our order system on dotnet core, including (somewhat) micro-service architecture behind the scenes. Build on primarily windows desktops, and hosted on Linux containers. Works well for us; there are a few things we needed to roll ourselves, but by and large it works out of the box.
Re:Firefox 64 Released on Thursday December 13, 2018 @10:46PM (#18678308)

The pricing model actually sounds a little like Athena.
Why in the world do you think it's acceptable to get in an uber when you are likely to vomit?
Re:The Fax Is Not Yet Obsolete on Monday November 19, 2018 @10:46PM (#18491680)
Ah, working with money would make some sense, as a risk reduction strategy. Thanks for answering my question.
Re:The Fax Is Not Yet Obsolete on Sunday November 18, 2018 @10:43PM (#18484090)
Possibly a naive question, but why would you need a credit score for being hired, especially as an intern? I can (somewhat) see the need for privileged positions (i.e. CFO or similar).
