This may be an unpopular opinion, but I prefer new Reddit when I’m on my phone (which nowadays is my primary causal scrolling device). I think part of the reason people stick to old Reddit is because they haven’t ripped off the nostalgia band-aid yet

Yes this is it. I patterned matched on tags to create a simple state machine. Then I extracted values using splitlines on commas and quotes
Re:Awk Technical Notes

I’m usually not a big side project guy, but I successfully used AWK to solve a IRL problem last year. It really helped solidify my understanding of the language.
The problem was that the Garmin GPS data for a bike ride I had just completed had split into multiple rides. I used AWK to stitch together the data into one file. I also did some basic linear interpolation to fill in missing data points.
The GPS data is formatted as XML and I was able to parse it fairly robustly using AWK.

Re:Alexander the ‘Accursed’ and Zoroastrianism
on Wednesday February 15, 2023 @11:52AM (#34806700)
The theory I’ve heard is that Christianity’s dualism was inherited from Second Temple Judaism’s cosmology. During that time there was a lot more interest in angels and demons among certain Jewish sects. In turn these beliefs may have been a result of syncretism with Zoroastrianism.

Re:Roman Church Decorated with 4k Skeletons

The trinity is the Orthodox belief. The history of Christianity is full of “heretical” beliefs about the Godhead. Also there is solid evidence that first century Christians did not hold a trinitarian position
Re:Roman Church Decorated with 4k Skeletons
on Friday February 10, 2023 @11:57AM (#34742290)
The conception of the trinity as co-equal persons of the same substance is a later development in Christianity. The earliest Christian writings (Paul’s letters) never mention the trinity; you could even argue Paul was a sort of binitarian
