Re:Pocket Extension Breaking Websites on Wednesday October 27, 2021 @11:44AM (#29014810)
Yes injecting a CSS stylesheet and removing formatting from buttons, heading etc. Why?

Just spent more than an hour clearing caches and Cloudflare trying to work out what was going on own websites

With more than 2 million installations, a lot of people are going to being seeing a lot of broken websites

Re:Ask HN: How do solo SaaS founders handle monitoring/PagerDuty? on Wednesday February 24, 2021 @05:09AM (#26248424)
Just to let you know, Bitdefender internet security software on my PC is blocking your pricing page, it is labelled as a phishing page
Re:British Airways fined £20m over data breach on Friday October 16, 2020 @10:13AM (#24800989)
Agreed.

Very poor form for a company of BA's size to have third party JavaScript on the checkout page

Re:British Airways fined £20m over data breach on Friday October 16, 2020 @09:22AM (#24800548)
Does seem a very large reduction in the fine, even allowing for current pandemic issues.

Of course if BA had been more security conscious and actually checked their third party JavaScript files regularly, perhaps using https://ScriptScanner.com ( full disclosure it's my app), then they would have caught the hack a lot quicker.

This would have greatly reduced the fine and the distress caused to their customers having to cancel their cards.

Re:Show HN: Customize your Google Form to suit your website on Wednesday October 02, 2019 @06:33PM (#21141509)
You really should put that or a similar example on your landing page to show potential customers just what is possible
Re:Show HN: FlightConnections on Friday September 27, 2019 @06:57PM (#21097030)
I agree, useful site but the pop under windows are just annoying. They would put me off using the site again and I do think the site has value, just need to back off the spamming
Re:Digital Ocean Experiencing Issues on Wednesday August 14, 2019 @06:18PM (#20700619)
They may have issues regularly, but we have had almost zero downtime over the multiple servers we have with them.

Now Vultr on the other hand, single server, multiple outages

Re:Ask HN: What's the best mail hoster for a startup? on Monday August 12, 2019 @06:24PM (#20680727)
Yes Migadu works well. Been using it more than 9 months now with only one minor problem, which was quickly sorted
Just so you know, looks like you have a typo under the Guarantee section on the home page "the work isn't done until you stay it is".

I presume you meant "the work isn't done until you say it is."

Re:Ask HN: Would you use new Facebook cryptocurrency Libra? on Wednesday June 19, 2019 @06:23PM (#20227941)
No, don't trust Facebook after all the on going privacy news. Certainly wouldn't trust them with my money.
Congratulations on launching.

Yes some people could code this themselves, but others will be willing to pay for a provided service.

Just a heads up - the language in your FAQ section for the "Why is ApiChecker monitoring your website" question and answer is a little off. You might want to revise this

Re:Ask HN: Do you use more than one browser? on Wednesday April 05, 2017 @06:19PM (#14046183)
Chrome for main browsing, Firefox for testing and developing sites.

I also have Opera and IE but only use them very occasionally

Yes it works in IE now
Your page only shows the enter email address banner in Internet Explorer for me, but works OK in Firefox
Re:Show HN: Thrive: a personal, actionable, vision board. on Wednesday September 26, 2012 @06:25PM (#4578346)
Very nicely designed.

I would be tempted to make the register link at the top right more prominent. You have to scroll quite a bit to get to the register button at the bottom. Having it more visible above the fold should help your signups

Did you mean Railscasts.com, with the extra s? Railscast.com does not look anything like so helpful!
Re:AppSumo: Optimizely (YC W10) Lifetime Bronze for $17 on Friday November 26, 2010 @12:27PM (#1942779)
Is the Bronze package 2,000 visitors A/B tested per month or 2,000 in total before you have to upgrade ?
