Interesting startup in Earthquake insurance https://www.jumpstartrecovery.com

The earthquake was strong enough for a payout if you were located within the zone: https://twitter.com/yourjumpstart/status/1146850926512111616

Beta Bionics and others are trying to solve this issue. An automated pancreas. FDA process is slow & expensive though.
Pay a Twitch.tv streamer who plays similar games to play your game?
Temasek (Singapore sovereign fund) have the money to get involved if they want.
Seems like it would encounter same problem earlier in Wifi history

"Early 802.11 products suffered from interoperability problems because the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) had no provision for testing equipment for compliance with its standards."

Think of it from the perspective of the business selling goods. Then the quote makes more sense.
There is no way Bezos could pursue Blue Origin as fast as he has without being having multiple Billions of net worth. Rockets are expensive and extremely risky.

So your premise is incorrect.

How do you handle developer computers with possible client data on them, even semi-anonymized? Or when communicating issues on the live server, you might transfer client information to other stake holders to debug issue. Are you tracking that communication. Where does the communication data reside, perhaps on a server outside of the EU?

There is a lot of complications that arise if you think about the second order/third order consequences of the law.

Marketing, that is how it works.
Re:How IBM quietly pushed out 20,000 aging workers on Saturday April 21, 2018 @01:36PM (#16892343)
Could this not be more with Pensions than just ageism? I'm going to make the assumption that perhaps older IBM workers had generous pension packages. Human living longer, more costly, etc.
"Most"
Discussing wages with supply & demand and not taking into account the worldwide labor supply. At some point, it is more profitable for companies to move overseas.
> On average, Teslas travel three more miles per day than other large luxury cars, HLDI found

Would like to know what is 3 miles in percentage terms. Could account for higher collision claim frequencies.

You realize killing people less than average is not dangerous. It is actually safer. Without understanding this basic logic, than I am not sure what else to say.

It is only dangerous, if it is worse than the average driver.
What happens when Promise loses an individual? Who pays the cost for them to be tracked down and returned. I'm assuming existing systems will be used such as bounty hunters to do this job.

Glass half full/Glass half empy. A bet against the opposite of an overpriced event will be underpriced.

Could also rate limit 1 PR for a given repo per day. Perhaps even have a queue.

They do AR & Marketing amazingly and hardware quite well. I am not sure a social network is their best business model though. Hopefully they can pivot to something else using what they are great at.
Bad news for podcasts
My girlfriend does this already, but uses the return system from various stores. Buys identical things in different sizes to see what fits best, returns the ones that does not fit.

Makes sense to have the discount if you keep items, savings from processing returns.

There are coworking spaces you can rent with fellow telecommuters in most cities and of course coffee shops as well.

US has a long history of upholding its agreements compared to other countries. Germany & France cannot even uphold spending 2% of GDP for NATO: http://money.cnn.com/2017/05/25/news/nato-funding-explained-...

Agreed in 2006 of 2% target, then had to reiterate the target in 2014 since many members did not meet 2% target. "Members that fell short at the time promised to meet their obligations by 2024" .. it is an obligation not some "aspirational goal" as some have mentioned below.

Also, seemed like the Chicken was fried. Everything tastes great when it is fried.
Why don't they just have an optional premium subscription that makes it ad-free.

"As we age, we get more and more set in our ways"

I think that is caused by we know the end of life is closer. We do not want to take the effort to change. If we know we will live forever or much longer, I think we are more apt to be flexible and change.
