darksfall
Used to live very near this restaurant in Norwich, but now far away in Portugal.
However, funnily enough I just booked transport today to visit Norwich, for business & personal reasons, next week. Tempted to see if this is on the menu in the restaurant.
Agree with 'amenhotep' that this is a publicity stunt.
I live in Portugal now, but those times are so vivid. Whenever I was at the office very early, or out parting late enough, the sight of the market workers there was sobering and down to earth.
To think of it not being there, then being replaced with something nondescript, is shameful.
In and around is Farringdon Station, one of the original Tube stations, the bars & pubs (Ye Olde Mitre, The Hope, Fox & Anchor, Smiths of Smithfield, etc.) and clubs (including Fabric).
I was working in the offices above the markets, for a nascent IT company, and believe me they weren't luxurious offices but it was exciting.
Good times, and soon only memories.
However, with that said, in the end the closer Windows gets to Linux/*nix then the easier it is for people to move away.
In that sense, I'll support your initiative.
Seems almost as close as you could get.
It's merely changing the 'window dressing' or facade that is the 'chrome' around the iOS web rendering engine.
I had about 6 or 7 Firefox profiles encompassing 2 of my businesses, clients, and some administration of my fiancée's companies she runs.
For each of my two businesses I had two separate profiles, one with personal accounts and a second I logged in with 'Admin' accounts for various services and infrastructure.
It was a little tedious, but it worked. However I would waste so much time tabbing through multiple Firefox windows working out what was the correct one for the job in hand.
Firefox Multi-Account containers got that down to two profiles, and I'd say I really only work 99% of the time in a single profile.
Simple Tab Groups is invaluable too to reduce the tab 'clutter' that comes from working out of a single profile/window.
Lastly as an added bonus, when I was comfortable with Multi-Account Containers, I successfully weened my fiancée off of Chrome and onto Firefox so she could flick between different accounts for those businesses she works with too.
Until recently I was using it for two different accounts in the same 1Password business account, one account enabled with integration to the desktop app and a second account on another browser profile (for admin purposes) with just the browser extension.
Neither of those necessitated logging in again in another tab.
Still using 1Password, but Firefox containers have removed the need for multiple Firefox profiles.
For a second business I use Bitwarden, and that works well, but I find 1Password superior in so many respects.
That is unless you subscribe to the belief that Apple has an overwhelming tech dominance or are an Apple stan and any refuse to recognise any other platform.
I'd say personally I feel 1Password is a better product, it is just more logical for me separating out the passwords I manage for clients into Vaults that I can share either single passwords or their entire Vault with them should they move to another supplier.
Tags are a great feature in 1Password that I miss in Bitwarden. 1Password's app and addons for Android & Firefox, respectively, edge Bitwarden too.
However I do and will continue to support Bitwarden for it's open source attitude.
Features change in software all the time.
What's so outlandish about someone getting a new unit, it upgrades the software automatically on first run, and then the BTFRS filesystem is available to them use for the array.
You'd either not think twice about it or thank Synology for opening up the new feature for these lower end units.
Taking the feature away like this is the absolute trashiest behaviour.
Quickly uninstalled after that, but still have a nasty taste after coming this close to having installed that.
Very valuable, thank you.
