to be fair, i wouldn't say that Elden Ring is generally known for storytelling in the traditional sense. it's (deliberately?) obtuse about storytelling in a way that most games aren't. so, not a great example

Yeah, making sure there's a standard of cleanliness or food safety in restaurants seems kind of pointless, right? If the consumer eats that food, it's their fault for sure.
