Re:New Grafana Loki UI: No LogQL Required on Tuesday April 09, 2024 @01:11PM (#39981570)
This is hard coded to searching for service_name in the query which doesn't return any data for me.

I will stop wasting my time here and try the Metric Explore panel

It will take 30-180 days for some enterprise orgs to upgrade Teamcity to mitigate the vulnerability. That grace period used to exist before publishing a vulnerability unless it was being actively exploited.
Re:Orion Browser by Kagi on Tuesday November 28, 2023 @01:50AM (#38443124)
I would try it if they supported Linux.
Re:It Is Time to End the War on Remote Work on Saturday October 14, 2023 @01:12AM (#37878244)
Yes it is time to end the war on remote work. I need a job!

The author of vim died recently so maybe it wasn't fully automated
Kagi is infected as well.
Re:Geniuses of the past were aristocratically tutored on Wednesday March 16, 2022 @02:10PM (#30702079)
It is difficult to be a Genius when you are poor.

Meaning we have people who are highly intelligent now but they lack the resources to create their vision.

While we have people who are one of the most richest individuals in the world trying to start a fist fight with Putin over the future of Ukraine.

Re:Azure AD password reset page(s) looks like a phishing site on Sunday December 05, 2021 @05:34PM (#29454030)
It seems they will never fix the page at this rate.
I don't have 1 property and you are bitching that you have 24 and only _4_ tenants not paying your rent?

Re:Grafana, Loki, and Tempo will be relicensed to AGPLv3 on Tuesday April 20, 2021 @03:03PM (#26879677)
Good. If Amazon wants to continue its creep of using open source software to build their empire they need to support the companies that make open source software.

> If Amazon/AWS was not a large monopoly it wouldn't be a problem.

DOJ Needs to split up AWS/Amazon and fine them and use that fine to create competition.

Similar topic they are also trying to remove RMS from the GCC Steering Committee.

https://gcc.gnu.org/pipermail/gcc/2021-March/235124.html

So it's okay for billionaires to short GME but when people on reddit come together it's a problem?

I hope wallstreetbets crashes the market and makes everyone on the NYE cry like a baby. The unfortunate reality is that will never happen; they will just all up Biden and he'll cut them a check.

Re:Long-term study reveals harm in regular cannabis use on Wednesday January 27, 2021 @11:53PM (#25938354)
What I have read about the harm in regular cannabis use is related to how society has demonized it. It speaks nothing about the actual harms that Cannabis can have. Additionally if that is all the harm; fucking legalize it.

Gutless cowards

Re:AWS announces forks of Elasticsearch and Kibana on Friday January 22, 2021 @12:28AM (#25868642)
The irony here is that AWS offers licenses for some products but nothing for Elasticsearch.

However how AWS is doing this is ugly and my hope is it will make people stop using AWS managed services.

Re:Russia Hosting Parler on Monday January 18, 2021 @01:46PM (#25825040)
I wouldn't go that far; if you go to parler.com, it's just a simple website saying they have technical difficulties and will be back.
Re:Simple Bank Is Closing on Thursday January 07, 2021 @06:04PM (#25678907)
Time to open a new bank account and find a new home. Simple has been really great for me and I am very disappointed that it is going away.
.... They didn't fail the test. They are having hard times and thought they were getting a holiday bonus which does happen.

Where/Why they failed is because times are tough and if all you had to do is fill out a form for 650$ would you really not do it?

It's not awareness it's people are effed and struggling

Re:Heaven Banning on Wednesday December 23, 2020 @05:04PM (#25522801)
Reddit lets moderators hide your comments if they don't contribute to the conversation without letting you know. Not exactly a ShadowBan

It's all about the moderator though; over the years I have very little (no interaction) with the admins ever. Doesn't matter if you write to them; you still won't get a response.

Which is why imo Reddit is toxic a.f... Volunteer Moderators

Sounds like a bad move. I doubt it'll hurt Pornhub at all either as there's other ways to accept payment than MC.
Re:Oracle Linux: A better alternative to CentOS on Tuesday December 08, 2020 @04:12PM (#25351408)
On AWS I would be using Amazon Linux before Oracle Linux.
Re:macOS Big Sur on Thursday November 12, 2020 @11:28PM (#25078878)

Re:AWS pre-announces public container image registry on Tuesday November 03, 2020 @01:43PM (#24982607)
I was thinking about using Github to replace the Docker Image registry.

I'm sure Github would be against that kind of load but maybe not?

Re:Russia gives Edward Snowden permanent residency on Thursday October 22, 2020 @01:20PM (#24860490)
Something to be thankful. I am sure he would rather come home; but I don't see the that changing with Biden as he hasn't said anything.
Great idea the only problem is preventing the fire from getting out of control. As we haven't been doing we can't just start tomorrow as they will turn into the fires we have today.

Doesn't mean we shouldn't still use prescribed burns; we should. Just smaller burns with proper protection to ensure the fire is under control.

Re:I was blackmailed – any YouTuber could be next on Tuesday May 26, 2020 @06:50PM (#23317380)
YouTube isn't even trying to protect the creators here. You could make excuses about how they have to review each claim to ensure it's valid bases on the DMCA or some interpretation of the DMCA. Having said this I have watched prominent channels get hacked and spread Binance (bitcoin) videos all their content deleted. After 90 days YouTube finally stepped in and stopped the hacker and very slowly restored some of the content.

Kind of super thankful I am not a YouTube Creator because having my channel hacked and my content deleted would be very hard to deal with.
