The mod is older, and they hired the modder to work on the expansion. From the blog posts the expansion is a lot closer to vanilla then the complex mods.

Several companies have osm vector tiles, mapbox among them. Osm.org isn't really for end-users, the focus is on mappers.

Re:The violent gang crisis shaking Sweden on Monday November 20, 2023 @10:34AM (#38349523)
Sweden had colonies in north America and the Caribbean. Denmark still controls Greenland. Sweden and Norway are both colonizers in the US way, expanding boarders by stealing land from the indigenous people (Sami) etc
Google dont directly use osm, as far as we know, but they or subcontractors check the changelogs and often add newly built things hours/ days after they get added to osm, presumably from their own sources as the data is not identical.

Some EU countries do, in Sweden food stuffs are halv vat compared to the norm (12 vs 25)
Sweden had/has roads onthe middle of nowhere/forest that has more free space on the sides and at each end of particularly strate and flat stretches, there are oversized parking spots. Supposedly so fighter planes could refuse and rearm from mobile crews
Vici 3 is fun, for a more modern setting and a bit more realistic check out democracy 4
You mind sharing links? I would be interesting to try some bf again
I had a similar thing happened with Zelda for the original Gameboy. There was some mobs in one of the first dungeons, that needed to be killed in a particular order, written on a plack. I spent months on and off trying everything, but it took a older friend borrowing it until I got past it.
Witch is why you have an electric engine heater in cold(er) places, no need to idle
Re:Honey, he shrunk the watches on Saturday March 05, 2022 @01:34AM (#30564944)
I have a solarwatch that I can't use in the winter time, after moving up north, not enough sun light to keep it charged =p
Re:Sweden clears snow-covered walkways before roads (2018) on Saturday January 22, 2022 @04:23AM (#30035091)
True, we are only 9 million people total and the north is mostly uninhabited. I totally see how that feels tiny. Anyway by your description I pictured a small winding 1-line 40mph road, not a 55mph banked 2lane road
Re:Soviet Military Maps of North America and UK on Saturday January 22, 2022 @04:03AM (#30034988)
Opentopomap is openstreetmap with height data primarily from the space shuttle LIDAR missions. The resolution is good for 60N-60S, towards the poles not so much.

You make it sound like it was just a small country road =)

The E10 is the main highway connected Northern Sweden and Norway, and it gets a lot of truck traffic.

A quick workaround is to buy some spikes for your shoes.

If you are in Scandinavia most outdoor and sport shops have them.

Just remember to take then off then you go inside =)

Re:A 1980s space telescope may have seen planet nine on Wednesday November 17, 2021 @02:22AM (#29250066)
The way we detect things in our own solar system is basically to take several images of the same patch of sky and look for things that moved. Objects that far out have a slow apparent motion and require repited observations days apart. We have a limited amount of telescopes that are sensitive enough and time on them are very competitive. But we have new telescopes on the way and on the next few years there will likely be many more confirmed objects on the outer solar system.
Cool! I didn't think the tracking cameras was on during the summer. But I guess Southern Norway still have some dark hours.
