Anything resting across my legs while sitting is a laptop (true neutral)
They’ve ran out of internet and need more training data.
There's a plugin that resolves this (https://github.com/remotely-save/remotely-save) and you can also use pre-launch shortcuts using WorkingCopy if you want to sync via git.
There's an Obisidian plugin for direct syncing to OneDrive that works on both mobile and desktop - this keeps you from having to deal with either triggered syncs through github or the various other, painful syncing processes.

Huberman is the reason I actually subscribed to Podcast Notes, just to be able to get the highlights.
Re:Ask HN: What are some of the best podcasts for developers? on Sunday December 11, 2022 @10:51AM (#33944177)
All of the ChangeLog ones are excellent, and they have specific ones for Javascript and Go (and an excellent ops one called ShipIt): https://changelog.com/podcasts
I did it just fine for the cost of the license of Working Copy syncing to a iCloud folder. But the Obsidian license still made me end up going over to LogSeq, which works better for my mental model.
Re:Tired of note-taking apps on Sunday July 19, 2020 @11:40AM (#23890054)
Are there any note apps still around that take an endless tape approach? It seems like everyone's gone away from it, but my mind still works best with endless tape + tags + search.

Also to make it much easier to grease the cube - if you do it as you stack the rows, you can get much more even distribution (and the cube will fly afterwards).

Yes, they provide the tension when you rotate the cube. The speed cubes come with different springs that can make it looser or tighter - in the center is this white ball that houses the springs where you screw in the center tiles. If it wasn't such a pain to open back up, I'd take some pics of that part of it. You can see the white ball on the official site here: https://rubiks.com/store/product/rubiks-speed-cube (disclaimer - the original article is mine)

These cubes actually come completely apart to replace the springs. You could probably put a good 4-5 micro-SD cards in the middle plastic ball, but it's not exactly a quick operation. But, yeah, quite a bit of empty space in them.
Re:Lying about salary to recruiters? on Tuesday January 10, 2012 @12:30PM (#3447912)
I would simply state "That is considered confidential information at my current employer. I would consider an offer in the ballpark of /x/."

2 Things - It shows that you take confidentiality seriously even when looking at leaving your current company (and its likely the policy there anyway). Secondly, it is truthful.
