The safest option is probably to remove the battery and run the phone from a (well defined/build) external power source, e.g. like this:

From their website yseq.net:
- Whole genome sequencing ultra plus (150 Gbases raw data) is €699,- incl. shipping for the sampling kit
- "The turnaround time is approx. 5-7 months at the moment."

For 200PB one would need 25kg worth of 2TB microSD cards... that would be lots of Rubik's cubes =P

Since I am working in the XRD/XRF/XAS space, what are the multimodal techniques that you see as the most beneficial ones to complement the x-ray measurements? If you can tell, I would also be interested what your field of research is :)

I know, that this doesn't help really, but in plasma physics as well as when dealing with degenerate matter and such 8 and 3 are the same number. Most of the time a scientist in these fields is happy to get the order of magnitude right! ;P
Re:You got a null result. Will anyone publish it?
on Wednesday July 24, 2024 @09:36AM (#41056974)
A preprint will still give less value to the negative result. No peer review (being a broken system or not) and not being published in a "proper" journal will make it less likely that the results will be recognised / accepted.
The whole point is, that a negative result can have as much value as a positive one...

...somewhat off topic...
I seem to remember a JavaScript based system that could be installed on (old) mobile phones. This way one had easy access to all the phones sensors, wifi and could build simple GUIs to repurpose the phone.
Does anyone know how it is called or where I can find something similar? Thanks =)

If I got this right, the authors have the data accessible here for now:
