Have you heard about cultural appropriation?
Re:I post trained a model on Demoscenes on Saturday October 31, 2026 @04:38PM (#50319950)
If you came to my house to take a shit on my carpet, it wouldn't really hurt anyone, but I'd still throw you out.
Re:I post trained a model on Demoscenes on Saturday October 31, 2026 @03:17PM (#50319152)
Fuck you and everything you do.
Re:My favourite PowerMac is a Nintendo Wii on Saturday October 31, 2026 @06:08AM (#50314590)
I don't know a single person in my country except for me who ever played Wii, and only a handful of people who even heard about it.

So, a ridiculous statement. :)

My beef is with something else, but seeing the comments I'm sure none of you people will understand.

Time to leave this stupid place full of stupid people. So long, and thanks for nothing!

It's the opposite of polished now :(

No need to imagine it.

Stopped at

But... but... the singularity? Surely the supersuperhuman intelligence can get a free lunch.
And you are basing this on what, exactly?

AI boosting seems to be very close to pulling shit out of ass.

Re:New iMac with M6 on Tuesday October 27, 2026 @12:04PM (#50261307)
I'm running qwen 3.8 flash next with strata (q3 quant) on laptop with 5090 and 128G RAM and OMP harness. At 90t/s speed it is pretty much good enough already.
Interestingly I have the opposite thing (living in Poland) - seasonal summer depression, lasting until the darkness sets in. :)
Re:Claude Duet on Thursday October 22, 2026 @05:23AM (#50193120)
And Google already had "Duet AI" before Gemini. :)

This is a ridiculous opinion.

Do you work at M$?
Checks? ;)

Those are valid options.

They don't look but they should.

Soon you will learn on HN that they fired themselves as part of a marketing campaign before IPO.
So who or what ported them?
Re:How to scale intent, quality, and artistry with AI [video] on Wednesday October 07, 2026 @07:26PM (#50000140)
But it's missing the point: it is not always about "better" or "worse".

And in fact humans are special in a very straight-forward way: we share one thing with each other that no AI will share with us, which is our common biological ancestry and its consequences.

So, when looking at a human-made painting - which could look much worse than flawless AI counterpart - I'm not just looking at a painting, but I'm also thinking about what it took to produce, how much the artist was struggling to balance the need of survival with the need to create, how big was the price they had to pay, how it's similar or different to my own life, whether I'd be willing to pay such a price, and a lot more.

OTOH I don't care at all about the "struggle" of the ML model. I don't care about GPUs and TPUs sweating while climbing their "mountains". It might produce outputs that are aesthetically pleasant, but it will never be art.

If you call your ideas "content", then there is no point in reading it anyway.
Re:Sharing AI progress in mathematics on Wednesday October 07, 2026 @08:47AM (#49992025)
One "good" thing that all of this has shown me is just how many people are simply antisocial and antihuman. Many masks have fallen.

It's only true if you believe that "putting the burden of living on a dying planet on the future generations" counts as "navigating".

Wow, this comment really shows how low this community fell.

Atoms are a lie.
Can you tell more about the class of problems that need Fable?

And obviously those concerns were valid.

> Compassion is a luxury

This one is interesting. I'm from Poland, and I'd argue that during very shitty communist times people had a whole lot more compassion than now, when the country is in a much better shape.

Wtf is wrong with you all people.
