How much would you wager? And what’s the house advantage for the scare quotes?

I shouldn’t add to this mess.

I used to have a reasonable experience on HN.

You straw disagree with a quote fragment?
So many smart people and yet such a stupid timeline. Usability psychology is well documented.
The demand discovery and data gathering phase is in wall time. Calendar pages, never clock cycles.
Mine too. Capital and connections are open and evolving, but have always been rarer the more valuable they are.
Got it, I’m curious about other biases and prompt context results. First that come to mind are Gemini’s very different responses depending on gender in the question. If it exists, there are others?
No kidding? What’s the state of the art for lists of these kinds of prompt biased performance? Or should I ask Opus to game it out with Muse and <Tencent>
I don’t think paying customers are gatekept by entrepreneurs.
so… ok, you still can’t eat art right?

Not convinced that is at all accurately what people did 200,000 years ago. Maybe what people today are convinced is the only alternative.
If “magazine breadth” does not include submarine drone assembly ships I’d be surprised.

I appreciate this analysis, but I wonder, setting aside unpredictable current events for the moment, aren’t seasonal and scheduled events also covariates? eg forecasting baseball scores year round?
If basic income were to be the answer, the question would likely require pitchforks.
This is so often the essential question, and equally often unanswered
While reading the book years ago, I did not visualize Isidora as a city with 9 houses, like a children’s book, or a little video game level intro, but so unlike Kublai Khan or Italo Calvino.
So long aircraft carriers, hello mobile drone assembly supply chains

Thank you. For me the hint was: “How many GPUs is 1M/B/T tokens?“

Those units…

Also “is” is load-bearing

Almost all economic activity occurs in fields other than economics.

I disagree with sibling comments. You are correct to express the confounding implications of a word choice. And they have only detracted from the point you make.

Of course the design is cool and beautiful, but it is not the thing it is called here.

My county in the US, the level that manages education, is a rectangle.

Yes, I am twelve, and so are the people that sold the cigarettes and profit from them.

If we won’t tax the bots for UBI, at least we can still have smoker-subsidized school lunches.

I believe you, and think I know why that would be so.

Cars, trucks, powerplants, indoor air, are bad for you.

What is freedom?

Given the shared source of the legal doctrines, I'd like to see the terms "superstition" and "irrational relic" properly applied to human incarceration as well, although the historical context recedes with every new generation.

“…but LLMs can’t” is the unspoken sticking point.
Re:How Big Are Factorials? on Thursday September 17, 2026 @09:51AM (#49740747)
I came across an interesting feature of factorials while making the puzzle books at https://www.kakurokokoro.com

The widest two rows are nine digits across, but while the first can be any of arrangements of the digits 1-9, the second cannot repeat any digits in the same columns, and so it limits allowable permutations to the number of derangements — which is close to 9!/e (where e is Euler’s Constant 2.718…)

No idea what this has to do with the relationship of i and pi.
